Yeah hardware worth around 350 so 650ish (maybe 450ish if bestbuy actually give the cashback) for the software, how could anyone think this cold. Hmm.

They have Quidco's logo on the landing page, so you would hope so!

250GB HDD? Is this an "exclusive" to Best Buy like the DSGI one?

It means anyone can put a logo anywhere but it doesn't have to mean anything

Never understand why laptop makers make there top-end laptops with 5400rpm Harddrives (except to save money ofcourse), it's one of the major things that slow laptops down.

If you can get the quidco cashback though it's a good deal for a Macbook Pro, otherwise nothing special. Good find
#15
On Quidco it states
Cashback may only be paid on the basket value excluding VAT & delivery.
So total price, including cashback, would be £832 approx
Still a cracking deal, heat added

i got same macbook pro back in 26th june for £888.25 from amazon

Usually for noise and power consumption and heat generation, since extra speed requires extra energy to spin it up and to remove the extra heat it generates.

But yeah, you'd really want a 7200 drive in there for a top of the line model.

Has anyone placed an order and got the cashback confirmed yet?
#19
getting rid of 2010 model, might as well wait for 2011 model in a month or 2
#20
I'll would wait for the new model.
Rumours: Intel core i series processor, no DVD slot.

3rd post in and someone has to get the usual comment in!

What is it with some people that they just cannot bear anyone who does not consider every single Mac deal 100% perfect?
TBH when I see comments like these it makes me feel like voting cold to be just to be bitchy.;)

Because everyone has a choice, and different people have different budgets. Correct not all of the Mac deals are great and Mac's are expensive compared to other vendor's offerings. Like you, I feel bitchy when all I read is rubbish and back handed comments about people making a personal choice.

The reason is that many people vote cold or make negative comments about Mac or indeed most Apple products, often on an uninformed basis. Yes they are expensive but for a variety of reasons people choose to purchase them.

Bottom line is - If you can't find it cheaper then this has to be a deal for this item. If people want to discuss the merits of various Netbooks or Laptops then that should be done in the deals that relate to them.

I use a PC but I don't get all uptight when someone posts something negative about PC's nor do I write wait for all the anti PC brigade to vote cold! :)

I don't get uptight about negative comments if they are valid but in a Mac deal posting crap like 'I can get xyz notebook for ££ less' is both unhelpful and not relevant.

Equally those people that hold little regard for other deals, be it Xbox, PS3 or My Little Pony shouldn't, and generally don't, post irrelevant drivel about how much better other items are.

If you want reviews and opinions then use REVOO if you want deals use HUKD.

Still no sign of best buy validation my Dec 3rd tracked cash back, I've stopped ordering from them now.
#27
Quidco appear to list them as fast. I used them between Xmas & New Year, it has tracked but isn't yet validated. I guess Quidco will badger them and if necessary stop dealing with them as they earn from our transactions, so if we don't get paid neither does Quidco.
#28
BestBuy are a busted flush. Everyone knows that the cash back will track - but will eventually be declined. They do pay the odd one or two, just to keep the punters coming. CON ARTISTS!

That's a bit of a carte blanche attitude.

Sure, it seems a few people didn't get paid but is that because the transaction didn't apply properly or maybe it was twinned with another code?
#30
has anyone had this confirmed yet?
#31
hell of a risk
Expensive if cashback declined
