A Mac convert!
How is it better than the gaming rig? I take it you are not gaming on the mac?
How can you compare the two? Just interested.
Good deal !

No not gaming, unless you consider Spore gaming!! I had the Asus G1S gaming laptop and cost just shy of £1000 and bought it for it's specs as I do alot of design on the move. The machine itself was good but it's vista that lets it down, using Ubuntu (a version Linux for those who don't know) it was fast but none of the on-board shortcuts and quick keys worked. I bought the iMac and I can't believe how fast it is considering it's lower spec, and sorry to say it but it looks sooooooooo much better than any windows machine, I can sit here and stare at the screensaver for ages!
I admit compatability on a mac can be a problem but theres always an open source equivalent, and if your that bothered you can always run windows on a virtual machine or just use boot camp.
My 2.4ghz Intel Core 2 duo, 2gb 667MHz ram is great, and was worth every penny of the £745 I paid for it.
Macs rule!! (imo)
