Recently nabbed an iPad Pro, and it looks like many of you are currently in the process of buying one too, from the Very, Tesco and JL deals.

The pencil has an RRP of £79, and even used ones on eBay seem to be £45+ so the CEX price seems to be the best out there right now.

Hope it may help someone.

I don't know much about these pens... the CEX listing says "With No Adapter".
Is that important?
1 Like #2
It just means that you have to plug it into the iPad to charge, it's an adapter to turn your lightning cable from male to female.

All of the used ones (including the £45+ on eBay ones) seem to have it missing for some reason...

It's no biggie, and a charging cable can be bought for around £5 on eBay if required.

Adapter looks like this;

Why the cold votes? I am interested in buying.

I think it has 2 year warranty too, not that this should matter at 30 quid!

I assume just Apple haters mate, go ahead and buy one, you DEFINITELY won't get one cheaper.

I got the 12.9 inch iPad Pro and smart keyboard on launch day but didn't bother with the pencil as I'm no artist,is there any advantages to having one (new uses added) if you are not into art.

Price seems good,so Heat added

To be honest Paul, I have no idea at this stage, but thought for £32 it was worth a punt - this is exactly why I didn't spend £79 on one.

Thanks for the heat mate.

p.s. I hear an app called Notability is pretty epic, haven't tried it yet though

The pencil is brilliant for note taking, I dont have any paper now, just use the iPad Pro 9.7 with pencil.

This will always go cold as it has done before....
No idea why. As an android user even I can see this is a great price and it still works without the adapter.

I wanted one for art myself and I'm kicking myself I didn't buy the 400 quid 12.9 pro I saw on eBay....

I've got no regrets whatsoever with my 12.9 inch pro purchase.

Some people say they are far too big but personally I could not go back to a smaller tablet after having this one.

To me it's no different to when everyone 3.5 inch screens on their phones and 4 inch screens were classed as being too big,now a good number of people have a 5 inch plus phone screen.

I only use mine for editing videos, general web browsing and watching media but the bigger screen just makes it a much nicer experience.

Great... an Apple pencil to go with my Pear pen... ;)

Great price, shame people don't think that half price is a good deal. I have a few of these and am a bit worried I will lose them, but not a massive issue at this price. Thanks OP. Heat.

I'm feeling quite smug that not one of them have been able to make a comment, no cheaper deals etc. Just pure inexplicable hate (or jealousy) :)

When I saw the iPad 12.9 for the first time, everyone told me it was too big but I thought it was better. The previous iPad 9.7 I had is about the same size and weight as 12.9.

I was hoping for a new iPad 12.9 this year but rumours suggest next year. Had I known would have bought one last year!

As for the pen, this is a great price. But agree it should never have been £79 even though it's really good.

Great price. If my partners dad does decide to get a Pro and wants the pencil, I know where to send him :D.

Good price, although you get tired of it after 20 mins of excitement

I never understand the rhyme or reason of some votes on this site at times. The iPad itself I consider poor value even when on offer because I just don't gel with the user experience. If it floats your boat though then I get paying a premium for a frequently used item. Sod the material value, take the thousands of hours you may use something then reconsider it as a value proposition.

But in terms of the cost of this then it's really good value.

Cold. Still far too expensive for what it is.

There is a rumour that the iPhone 7 will support Apple Pencil as well so they might be getting more popular.

Shame this is voted cold as 2nd hand ones on eBay are usually 25% more. If your an artist using it for drawing on the iPad Pro nothing works even nearly as well as this. Thanks for posting OP.

Are they new or second at Cex? Also original packaging or not? Thanks.

Looks like a great deal. They're used at Cex. Still a great price though.

Tried one yesterday on the larger iPad Pro. It had a very noticeable input lag, so both it and the iPad probably need a few more revisions before it advances from the gimmick stage. The RRP is far too high for what it is but I wouldn't vote this deal cold just because of that.
#27
RRP is now £99, deal just got better!
#28
No it didn't. As CEX are now selling them for £55. They don't miss a trick do they.

What software were you isn't it on. Been using mine since launch and the input lag is also non existent.

Still £32 if you click the link.

Mine arrived today, works great and no noticeable lag at all.

So it does. How strange

32 is a brilliant price and you get 30 minutes use from only 15 seconds of charging, so hardly need an adapter.
1 Like #33
Fully charges from the iPad in a very short time, maybe 10 mins, and has a tiny impact on the iPads charge level. I don't think I would use the adapter if one was provided.
#34
Fantastic price, pity I missed it! £60 now :(
#35
Where can I get the adapter please?
