  Can someone tell me what the ipad screen mirroring is like on this device? I had an apple TV 2 that i was JB for a colleague and while it did mirror, there was a lag so it was useless for gaming on the TV. Is it faster with this version or is it purely for use with showing photos/videos?

  No lag if the AppleTV is hardwired, when both the iPad and the AppleTV are on WiFi (even N) there is lag which is understandable.

  It will if you convert your media using Handbrake.
  
  I've converted all my video files using Handbrake and then imported into Itunes, works a treat.

  Just wondering what really is the big use for this? I have iphone and ipad and PC hooked up to TV. My TV also has youtube, netflix etc.
  My idevices are jailbroken - what does jailbreaking ATV allow you to do?
  Sorry for questions not a noob with idevices but have never bothered to look at ATV before.
