These any good compared to android boxes?

They work well, will receive software updates for a number of years and so on. Just so more polished than the cheap android box. Of course you pay a premium but you get what you pay for.

I am sure someone will chime in to say a £25 box from gearbest and use dodgy streaming apps is much better. It is down to personal preference ultimately.

Dodgy streaming apps? Why not use certified and paid for streaming apps, if you are gonna compare...

In terms of raw specs, no. 99% of the cheapy Android boxes support the x265 (H.265) codec and natively support 4K content. The Apple TV 4, although not certified, can play some x265 content.

It depends really. There's a minimal chance you'll find a 64GB Android box with Siri (obviously no Siri) and a decent remote included.

The "dodgy streaming apps" are more or less just addons for Kodi which is also supported on this box.

In my experience no single box plays everything at 4K. The Amazon Fire TV comes closest but doesn't have Dolby Vision support.

No idea why this is cold though as it's a decent saving on the RRP for a decent streamer.

More apps + games. If your happy with your 2/3 you probably don't need to upgrade

Disappointed to see how cold this went regarding how great the price is. It is really discouraging when posting a deal that people will vote it cold simply because they don't like Apple!

Well it's a couple of kettlebells for the Mrs and a Pimms jug... but then I've just found the amazingly cheap Siri Remote Wrist Strap priced at.... £11. http://www.tesco.com/direct/apple-remote-loop/756-2950.prd?skuId=756-2950#

I added an extra item for £12.50 to the checkout and used the £25 off orders over £150 (TDX-HTNK). Made it £127.50! That's before quidco cash back. ;)

does anyone knows how to add Kodi on this one for free... searched a lot but seems no free option.. Either pay £15 on eBay or needs to have MAC book and reinstall after every 2 week. Any advise would be appreciated.
