never ever find these in store though these sort of deals always seem to pop up

The remote will also allow you to control your Macbook. Great for use with iTunes and Front Row on my Mac Pro. (^-^)

Can't comment on the dock, as i don't have one. I managed to get the remote on eBay for less than £5... and even though it says "made in China", I'm still glad i got it.

Picked one up online at Asda in July for £17.50. Works with iphone4 with official bumper on and the remote working with my new iMac was a bonus too.

Got mine for £17.50, Asda Stockton, a bargain at that price, I'm happy!

A lot of apple products say made on China. Because that's where they make them.

Yes these work with iPhones but it won't charge them - wrong voltage.

These are made to work with iPhones. They do charge all types of iPhones, what's handy

Are you sure?

I picked up one of these from Asda a month or so ago and it will charge 3rd Gen nano's but not my iPhone 3Gs. The voltage required to charge 4th Gen nanos and iPhones (all) is different to all previous models, which is my most 3rd party products could and still don't charge newer iPods and iPhones.

Just bought one of these this morning in my local Asda, but at £17-50p. I can confirm its definately iPhone 4 compatible - the remote works and the iphone is charging in the dock, currently have it connected to the hifi, music sounds great.....my iphone also sits in the cradle perfectly with an Speck HD case fitted on the phone.....couldn't ask for more....hot.

In that case I must try another cable cause the one I'm using isn't charging through it.

...either that or you got a duff unit, but hopefully its only the cable! Mine has now fully charged while playing music, so it definately works....

I just fitted the iphone 4 into the default cradle - no other cradle fitted with the case I have on the phone...

Charges my iPhone 4 too, no problems

binned-it - are you using an iphone 3gs? It may be incompatible with that model!! The box it came in says iphone and iphone 3g, but I read somewhere that the iphone 4 is the same connector/voltages as the older iphones.....

Just called two stores in south Yorkshire and they are still £25. Any chance of you getting me one from Leicester and me giving you the money, and paying for postage.

Matt.

I use various cables throughout the house, car and office some official and some not. I think the one connected to the dock isn't official so probably stopped charging now (like the unoffical ones tend to do). I'll swap then around tonight and see what happens. I just assumed that these were older units (hence why Asda selling cheap) so weren't compatible with iPhones - my bad!

Hot... Can confirm works well with IPhone 4

Just picked mine up from Asda in Nottingham, was priced at £35 on the shelf, but asked a member of staff to check it and it came up at £17.50

Great deal and the remote works well on my MacBook Pro

Thanks
