Usually retailing for about £56 each at apple.com, you can get them both at andertons for 74.98 delivered. Pretty good price if you ask me £37 each.

For all those who think this is expensive for a keyboard and mouse, you might be right, but the fact remains that seperately from apple itself these cost £56 and other places you might get them for about £40-50. The fact remains this is the cheapest anywhere to get these new so dont vote cold just because you think its expensive, vote on the relative deal that it is.

Thanks

Why would anybody pay this much for a mouse and keyboard?
#2
If you voted cold, and for that reason, can you please just think about it. Regardless of whether anyone would pay this much for a mouse and keyboard, it is still cheaper than anywhere else to get them both and thus is a good deal. I actually bought this myself for my new mac mini, and with all the functions of the magic mouse and the build quality of the products i am pretty happy to have spent it. I also have a logitech dinovo keyboard which also is expensive but again the quality and functionality is what you are paying for not just a simple "keyboard and mouse"

Great find.

Great price...would have gotten, if I hadn't snaffled a (stolen) sealed keyboard from CEX Nottingham for £40 :)

They've been doing this offer for a while, or they've done it before, because I ordered it a few months ago. Excellent deal. Brilliant kit - I couldn't cope with anything less now.

Yes, indeed you can if you jailbreak the iPad. You can install airmouse app from Cydia which enables a cursor and works perfect with the Magic Mouse. The wireless keyboard works out of the box no issues.

Good deal, not new though, they're not retail units but extras from iMac packages they set up for schools whom require wired peripherals.

lmfao - £75 for a wireless keyboard?!

You can't expect people to vote based simply on a like-for-like comparison when you can get superior products for less money.

That's like someone posting a deal for Kingston RAM @ £50, when there is identical unbranded ram of the same spec. available for £30 and expecting it to get hot.

Cold, just to annoy the brand-whores.

i'm sure this is a great product but why would you want it for an ipad? wouldnt that defeat the object of the ipad being portable ? and for the price of an ipad u can get better non portable systems.
#14
I love the keyboard. Bit of an odd thing to say for something just used to type with but it really is a great piece of kit. I'm less keen on the mouse, it's not the most comfortable of designs.

It always makes me laugh how people who hate Apple seem to be more obsessed with their products than those that love them.

The keyboard is excellent, aesthetically pleasing but also (imho) good to type on. The Magic Mouse, like the mighty mouse has the stupid apple gimmicks which make it unusable (Touch sensitive right click means you have to lift your index finger when you right click, more annoying than it sounds!).

Excellent price though, heat.

Because it's a nice keyboard and mouse?

Good price, very tempting, have some heat.

what do you mean touch sensitive right click? All i did was activate the mouses right button which by default is inactive. Makes it a standard clicking 2 button mouse. Just in the mouses settings?

That's like saying why do people buy a keyboard, mouse and monitor for a laptop....

You use the laptops portability when you are out but when you are back home you want to be able to use it like a regular desktop.

Sorry but think out of the box.

I think I'd rather go for a Magic Trackpad than the Magic Mouse though...and Andertons has them in stock for next day delivery....resist...MUST RESIST! :)

Works for me mate. Best looking kit around use the keyboard on my all-in-one PC and much better than the original Sony one.

lol, from their blurb...

"Apple Wireless Magic Mouse Gain even more freedom with the wireless Magic Mouse. Using Bluetooth technology you can have several hours of wireless functionality with just one AA Battery"

WTF? I get several months with a logitech wireless vx nano mouse!

Excelelnt products... I have them both and find the keyboard very high quality with its slick aluminuim body and the mouse is exquisite... touch sensitivity really works very well
#24
I am still getting used to the mouse, but the keyboard is by far the best I have ever used.

People looking for a professional level keyboard and mouse?

Gamers spend alot more on these essentials than what's priced up here. I payed £50 for G5 4 years ago, and £98 for G15 the same 4 years ago..
#26
Well said - I've got the G15 keyboard and spent about £50, and the same again for the Logitech MX Revolution mouse.

Worth every penny. Not only is it a lot more comfortable and easy to use than others (which, considering I work in IT and therefore end up sat at the PC for about 12 hours a day, is important), but I've had them for 3-4 years, and would anticipate they'll probably last the same again.

False economy buying cheap mice and keyboards if you use them a lot IMHO.

Hot deal from me.

yes, i think i activated it.. not at home so cant check. I dont find rightclicking on the mac a big problem but using the apple mouse on a PC was definitely a more tricky experience from what I recall

people can't help but knock anything that has to do with Apple on here.

this is a good deal when you consider the saving IF YOU wanted this bit of kit. Remember we vote about the deal, not the product.

If you would never consider this then why do you have to slay it and moan/bitch/whine.

god! it's like living with my ex-wife!

mumbojumbo
The keyboard is nice, but still don't like the way the " and @ keys are swapped in Windows!

That's just a windows setting, change location/keyboard settings from control panel from US to UK keyboard layout.

This isn't a professional keyboard, it's a fashion accessory. Yes they look nice, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to use one at work all day.

is nice to see this deal slowly get cold when people vote just because they think it is expensive but not actually paying any attention to the good deal

I was referring to the fact that there is no separate physical right click button, instead you have to lift your index finger when you click, which is a bit uncomfortable and annoying when you forget to do it!

One for the Apple fanbois - not voting either way

Maybe people are voting cold because you have to justify the cost after every post? Just a thought.

Good find!
My Magic Mouse cost me £50 on it's own and it is the best mouse I have ever used!
Not sure about all the naysayers, do KIA owners **** off BMW owners as brand whores?
If the deal doesn't interest you and you can't recognise this is a big saving on RRP then don't vote. If you have a problem with Apple's RRPs then take it up with Steve Jobs not the rest of us!

Comments like 'How much for a keyboard and mouse' obviously don't understand the average costs of a bluetooth keyboard or mouse of high quality. Yes, Belkin may make a few out of plastic for £15 less but it will chew through batteries and lose connection... I used to own a Logitech DiNovo Edge, this was a nice piece of kit at £120... I swapped it for this combo not too long ago and I'm happier with the apple kit... No connection issues, mouse and keyboard have gaming standard response rates.

This forum is full of false opinions instead of fact... This is a deal as it's the cheapest to be found anywhere. If you've never used the products, pipe down and run back to your cheap alternatives.

maybe thats because it seems people dont actually seem to grasp what this site is about and what an actual deal is and need it to be pointed out when they make comments about it being expensive for "just a keyboard and mouse". Point out to me where its cheaper and therefore a better deal.

They're windows users for a reason...that's why they don't understand the definition of a deal... Or they're just suffering a slow down having two IE sessions open, attempting to verify the deal...

For the sheer quality. Best keyboard ive used for typing. Best all-round mouse too (its impossible to go back to an actual scroll wheel).

However, if someone can point me to an iMac distributor with actual quality control standards, it'd be appreciated :p
