Great price. Heat added!

huh? 3 years warranty on a macbook pro for £29.00 its £280 on the apple site

Buy buy buy, if you have a macbook
#3
I bought my MacBook last week - got the AppleCare for £40 as a Student Offer, if only I had seen this deal earlier :-(.
#4
Bargain, probably a mis-price but worth a go. I paid nearly £200 for this! :w00t:
#5
If you buy the cover now, can you hold of "applying" it to your Macbook?

Reason I ask is my MB is 2 years old and have been toying with getting a new one soon but don't want to miss out on an insane price!!!
#6
Very good price, normally costs a lot more than this. I'd buy it but my macbook already has a 3-year warranty.

I'm not sure about that?

I know you can buy anything up to 1year after initial purchase, but I don't know about buying beforehand? But then again, it's just a case of registering it to your MacBook which then activates the extra 2years cover so I shouldn't see why it would cause a problem?!

Bear in mind - you can only apply this if your mac is still within it's original 1 year warranty.

Also - make sure you get the right one! there are 3 products listed, one for the MacBook / MacBook Air (£24+P&P), one for the MacBook pro (£29+p&p), and one for the iMac (£34 + P&P)

Full range here :-

Yeah just ordered it for my Air.

Think almost certainly a mis price but there is always hope...
#12
Great deal macbook pro 13" £24 its covered under same product as macbook air and macbook. confirmed with apple along with MA516ZM/A product code.
#13
Ordered... will apply it to my new MacBook Pro when I get around to ordering it :)
#14
Anyone dealt with Woolworths online recently?

How quick do they deliver?

In my email it says: Estimated delivery by 25/01/2010

But hopefully I will get it sooner than that - I only ask as my 12 month warranty for my Air runs out on the 26th lol!

Just a note, this one is for MacBook Pro 15" and 17"... for MacBook Pro 13" you will need the one posted here: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/586508/2-years-applecare-for-macbook-macbo

I'e now got to cancel my order and get the 13" one!

Edit to add: Called Wooworths, straight through to a lovely helpful lady who cancelled my order and I've gone through online and ordered the correct product. I mentioned they should add MacBook Pro 13" to the other product to avoid confiusion too :)

Damn it....iMac one is currently unavailable :-( Hope this is the correct price because I would snap that up if it comes back in stock!

Thanks!
#17
Hot hot hot!! I got mine for the student price last year but I would be gutted if I paid £200 for it!!
#18
Amazing deal - might be dumb question though - does anyone know if the mac mini have its own cover plan or whether would be covered under imac?

Woolworths is just another trading name of Shop Direct Group now (Very.co.uk, Additions Direct, Littlewoods, Marshall Ward etc etc). Not related in any way to the dead-and-buried retailer of the same name.

Assuming this is a mis-price, al you are likely to get by 25th Jan is the 'sorry it's out of stock letter'.
#20
gutted all the imac ones have gone

Question, I bought my macbook pro 13" through a reseller in August 09, the included warranty is through them although they have an agreement with Apple if anything explicitly goes wrong that is unrepairable. (Also I get a temporary replacement if they can't fix it within 5 days). Can I purchase this product while additionally having the other?

Yes you can... and I'd say it is preferable to have the proper AppleCare than anything another company offers :)
#23
uh oh. Wollies will be bankrupt again if this carries on! http://www.urban75.net/ubb/biggrin.gif
#24
Wow excellent deal, must be a mis-price! Although I ordered a mis-priced item from Wollies before (42" TV) for £200 and it didn't go through. They cover themselves by the small-print on the T&C's but we'll see hey.
#25
why this is not hot? ebay is selling it for £90+ ???

Just ordered + heat added. Noticed after ordering that these AppleCare products are also available on Additions Direct at same price and the 15% off code works (XX585)

Yes, it doesn't activate until you register it via the computer I believe (at least that's my understanding and how I'm using it!)
#31
I could kiss you right now!
#33
Why is this deal expired/spammed??? If your feel the need to do so, at least give a reason!

This is a hot deal for anyone with a MacBook Pro, is even cheaper than the student deal I got directly from Apple!

yup. it's just a box with a code in it. when you want to use it you enter the machine's serial number and this code on their website and like you say as long as you do it within the first year of buying the laptop it'll work.
#36
any free postage?
