  Great find as old jug needs replacing and only one filter left.
  ordered one but only problem is not available for dispatch until approx 22nd December onwards. :)

  Agreed. These filters have actually been in the UK for some time now, but not always been branded as Aqua Optima.
  
  The company that manufacturers the filters have been supplying them to a number of brands that are very well known here. See:

  They were traditionally reasonably expensive compared to Brita filters. However, that's changed recently as retailers such as Asda have started to stock them.
  
  Asda actually offer the same package as Amazon (jug with 6 double life cartridges) for £30, so I've voted this hot.

  well ill have to "borrow" a maxtra cartridge from my parents to cover December, and start on this for the new year! Since:
  
  Dispatch estimate: 24 Dec 2008 - 5 Jan 2009
  Delivery estimate: 31 Dec 2008 - 14 Jan 2009
  
  can always cancel if a better deal comes along with brita by then.
