+1, well said.

Got a whole crate (30 bottles) of the still water in HB for 3 quid the other day, bargain!

It would cost over £7 a week to fulfil my new water requirements. (I'm sticking to only water for dietary reasons.) It is a good price for what it is if you only drink water from time to time I guess.

You can get 2L for 10p in Tesco if not concerned about brand imagery and a fancy label :whistling:

It's a perfectly valid point. Water quality in the UK is good so if you can be bothered to fill up your own bottles that would definitely be the cheapest way to drink water. But for the convenience (and the plastic bottles that you can always refill with tap water) this looks like a great deal.

I have always thought it rather strange that at typical retail prices bottled water works out to be more expensive than petrol :w00t:

I agree. The world is now full of people
who need a bottle of water in their hand wherever
they go. I suppose it's like a dummy to them!

If we are serious about saving energy then banning
this stuff in the UK would be a great place to start.

Apart from the obvious that you can't carry a 2l bottle around with you, the ones you're referring to are just tap water, whereas this is spring water.

Great deal

Tap water does NOT taste good if you live in a hard water area. Well it does if you get a Brita filter thing, but that defeats the point.

I'm pretty sure the average person wouldn't know the difference if you handed them a glass though - no?

Sometimes paying more means a better product - however, in many cases it just means you paid more (essentially) for the same thing really.

I have no problem with tap water at the end of the day and only generally use sparkling water as a mixer.

But these bottles could be filled with tap water.

They also had 1l bottles of still water for 19p though I doubt there is many left after people were shovelling them in their baskets (like my mother >_<)
