I read that it's a Russian based site that exploits some loophole in Russian law, so the artists don't get any money from the sale, so it kind of is as bad as file sharing :P

it says "not only am I not going to pay the artist, I am too stupid/lazy to find the content for free. and I don't care that someone else is going to profit from the artist's work."
I'm not even sure which is worse - paying the music labels, or paying some Russian mafia.
Not a fan of Arcade Fire btw, but this really annoys me! If you like an artist and can afford it, buy their stuff. Or pirate the songs and go to their shows. But don't take this lame cop-out that helps no one.

Maybe you think you can get viruses or something from mp3s well.. 1) you can't and 2) what makes you think a possibly illegal russian business is safer than that uploaded by some music fans?
