If you’re a music addict, the new “Archos 1 vision” is just the product you’ve waited for. Smaller than a credit card and lighter than a pack of gum, it has a playback time of over 20 hours and with a very affordable price.

Not a bad mp3 player and definitely good value for money. I bought one last time they were on offer at £17.99. I've found playback time to be around 12 hrs rather than the 20 quoted, but maybe that's just mine. The features are basic but perfectly adequate.

For the money, it's a great little player.

Should add that MyMemory are a good company to buy from. Good customer service in my experience

Paid 17.99 for this quite a while ago .. not voting either way

Can you comment on the player then?

it's not really a 'deal' though, is it.
this is the price it always is at MyMemory, unless you get it cheaper like some have already said...

Never had an Archos, but seems a good deal for a decent size branded player, heat added

Anyone know if you can add album art to this, I know that's probably expecting too much, but worth a try.

Had 3 of these these and they are a load of crap, half the time they will not even turn on, and when they do they will crash out alot.

Yes, I've found many similar comments elsewhere, so maybe Archos aren't so good anymore, or perhaps it's just this one.Oh well, I'll stick with me Chinese nano clone for now, which although having a slightly clunky interface has worked like a charm for 2 years, and was made literally just around the corner from where the real nano was made in Shenzen!

MyMemory are a good company to deal with.

Going by the specs or an initial play, the Archos 1 Vision looks great. Many will be tempted by the prospect of 4GB for 20-ish quid. The reality is that they are pretty crap and have many shortcomings. Archos support is crap too. I got one for 17.99 and wish I hadn't. Spend a bit more on a sansa clip+ (or anything else).

I would like to know this too if someone with it can answer please? I've checked the youtube review and all it showed was a graphic equaliser during music playback. Can this be changed to Album Art?

No it can't

I posted a deal the other day for mp4 from my memory but the mod closed it due to them being a self promoting company on here.. This mp3 not a bad price do they still do the 20% off everything code? ?

They seem to always be this price or less at mymemory (and often at other stores, too). We are on our third one as the first two died. The first two had a function to let you resume what you were listening to, but by the third one the software was slightly different and would not resume -- which is useless if you listen to podcasts or audiobooks. We switched to Sansa (clip for me, just ordered a fuze for the hubby), much better overall player.

When it had resume, this was a good player (when it worked -- it died every 3-6 months). On the bright side, mymemory was wonderful about it and replaced it each time free of charge.

Great budget player; my daughter's been using hers for a couple of years without a prob. I even converted sdome Horrid Henry AVIs which she enjoyed (though I woulddn't recommend this for watching movies!)

Bought this last time at 17.99 for my bf. Didn't get much use out of it because we got Ipod touches a week later lol, he's got it plugged into his xbox for extra memory. Had no problems with it.

Got this from Tesco fairly recently for £20...like the fact that unlike the really basic ones, you can select by group, album etc. But...you have to listen to the tracks in alphabetical order, as random play keeps selecting the first track over and over again, only very occasionally playing a different one. Quite a few people have also mentioned this on Amazon reviews. The other annoyance is that when you turn it off, then back on, you have to select album/artist, track etc again, as it doesn't 'remember' its place when you turn it off, unlike my little Creative Zen Stone.

Having said that, I've not had any actual faults (as opposed to known glitches) with it, and it's handy to have, battery life seems reasonable, rechargeable battery. There are better options out there I know, but doubtful to be this low in price unless on sale, or from an electrical clearance store (was SO tempted by a £20 Sansa at the one in Chester...)

Hope my comments can be of use to someone...

I'd say wait, they are cheaper than this usually when i've looked before.
