Can this play PC games and also can does it have an office suite you can use like office 2010
#16
I know it's cheaper than a certain competitor but it does look a bit plasticky and if it's anything like the previous tablets it's built then I won't touch it as software seemed very buggy out of the box and after several updates was no better.
#17
Does this have a hd screen?

Got mine no flash tho

Got mine but not impressed.. Want to return it as it's slow, keeps losing it's wifi connection to my router and it's NOT android 2.2, version 2.1 update 1 is on mine, would the fact that they advertised it as 2.2 be a valid enough reason for them to accept it's return? Any help/advice would be appreciated..
#23
As long as its a 'unused condition' you can return it within 7 days. I took mine back yesterday no problems - although they had bit of difficulty locating the order number! I went into a currys store.

I also had the same problem. Wifi dropping (altho I changed my modem fron n to g and it worked ok), but the 2.1 kept crashing. Shame really as ok tablet, altho I would only want to pay around £100 for it.

Thx for replying sabz786.. So did order yours online and returned it to a store? If yes do u have to phone currys first to say you want to return the item or
Do u simply take it into a store..
#25
Yes ordered online (its not in stores yet), and returned in store. You don't need to phone, but go during normal office hours as they will more than likely have to call CS to check the reciept number or something (which they couldnt for mine as was after 6)...should be no problem.

Definately grounds for return. Its not what you ordered.

I ordered this a few weeks ago the 16gb version and it was only £269.99 (link below) had android 2.1 without Flash and the Wi-Fi connection kept on dropping out so sent it back and got a refund straightaway. Seems a good bit of kit and nice and light, but will wait until after xmas to get one now.

Yes it is capacitive.

If anyone has bought one with Android 2.1 it can be upgraded to 2.2, so no real need to send back.
As far as I am aware only the Archos tablets are capable of upgrading from 2.1 to 2.2 and further. versions 2.3 and 3.0 due out next year

The Archos site says that the 101 will get Android 2.2 this month, expect an over the air (automatic) update. In the tech specs page "Android 2.2 Froyo - available in November".
#35
im gettin the vega =D
#36
Took it back and got a refund with no problems at all.. The techguy in currys Said he'd had loads of returns statin the main problems mentioned were bad screen lighting and wifi connection issues.

So expect to lose everything unless you have backed up.

You lost me there. I didn't lose anything when my phone updated from 2.1 to 2.2, why would this be different?

Which one, where from!??

Waiting To se how the advent vega is received, with a better processor than the archos it should fly if advent haven't screwed it up. Fingers crossed.
