As above this is an Archos 10 not a 10s.
#4
Why does it say Windows Vista on the box if it comes with XP?
#5
I think that's just a rushed display box print error, I wouldn't read into it.

Only bad thing about these is 3 cell battery so 3 too 4 hours off mains at most.
#6
Although it is only a 3 cell battery, according to Archos' website, you get a 12 month licence for Office 97 Home and Student thrown in. Pictures suggest that you should expect XP, not Vista with this. HDMI out instead of VGA, so you can use with a DVI port on your monitor.

Hot if the battery is not a problem.

Is this a better one for the same price?

It has a faster/newer processor in it as well, and led backlit screen... Plus free delivery.

The reviewer seems a little confused

We don't like:
Rubbish battery life; fiddly keyboard
The Archos 10 doesn't do much to justify its purchase or even its existence.

Yet the Rating is good

good

And this was about 6 month ago at a price of £350. The supplied archos software is said not to be good, but you've still got all the windows stuff.

I know the NC10 is considered the best netbook but it's £50 more... not a great deal of money to some but said another way 25% more expensive. it's swings and roundabouts :)

If I can find one up here I'll be buying it... cheaper still with my wifes 10% staff discount :p
I can live with the battery life as when not at someones house it'll be charging in the car.
