Top deal mate...cheers... heat added

Is it BBC iplayer compatible, not the streaming one...record and play...copy from pc store n play...if it does that..I will go for this...let me know mate...
i have 605 and at this price this is hot
Does it come with the DVR Station to record from TV?
Either ways an excellent price. Voted hot
I doubt very much it will come with the DVR station as that costs £50 by itself, bought the 605 a few months ago at this price, this is an excellent price! Archos have replaced these models with the newer Archos 5 and Archos 7.
Alot people say the Archos 7 is awful (check QVC review)

ihotuk you can download it and transfer to archos to play it
it's nice deal :( considering i am planning to buy onw for my sister since it's her birthday soon

added hot
That's slick
Looks like an excellent deal, I bought the newer version of the 5 2 days ago :( Might have to think about returning it..
Good price for the basic unit but to use for it web browsing you need to buy the Opera plugin which cost just under £20 plus several other plugins if you want to use watch podcasts and web TV/Radio.
I have one of these they are awesome. Easily the best handheld media player you can get. With the plugins etc they are a fully functional web browser as well. Great bit of kit. I got this player when currys were clearing them for £90, £30 for the tv dock and another £20 for the full plugins bundle off ebay.

SO everything for £150. Like I said fully activated its easily the best bit of kit on the market and well worth the money.
One thing that makes me avoid archos after the last one I bought for over £200.

No AC3 or DVD playback unless I buy the plugin, No web browser unless I buy the plugin, No mains charger or record of tv function unless I buy the dock.

They honestly think I'm going to spend another £100+ on the thing for things which I believe should have came as standard.

Ditto. My 605 went back for a refund for that reason. You're not even buying the codecs or the plugins when you give them £20 / £25. You're just buying the unlock code for something that's already there.

Absolutely sucks.
Which one is a better deal Archos 605 30GB for £99 or this one?

Effective cost of this deal is £142.50 after RAC code. Also the package contains remote control, mains power supply and DVR station sadle which does not come with Archos 605? I am confused.
You can buy all the add ons as a bundle for £20 off ebay inc web browser.

i have the 605 and it's fab.

Bear in mind, the 605 is pocket size (albeit you need a big pocket!). The 705 is definitely NOT pocket size. It's huge because of the massive screen.
not bad, but i just had a look on there and on playtrade i got the 705 160GB Wi-Fi for £104!!! - it is from factory refurb, but im sure the damage to the packaging wont be that bad, and im sure they wouldnt sell damaged stock. ive bought Rock Band Drums off them for 40 quid months back and they were perfect except for outer box.
yup seems so - got my despatch for the 160GB yesterday so im hoping it was sent special and ill have it today - double the memory of the 80GB for £45 less, well chuffed!
I ordered mine, got the all the plug ins from ebay and to my delight it is a 160g one not the 80 as stated on the box and unit! :):)
Well chuffed

I am glad you posted this. I thought I was going mad when the 80gb device i ordered told me it had 153gb free. Looks like we got a really good batch.

I never thought I would say this but thank you
