Phoned tesco direct and they are unable to check the in-store stocks
Just picked one up from Loughborough Tesco Extra, Park Road. First in the queue that quickly formed at the electrical desk. I asked the girl on the til how many they had and she said "there's about ten left, we've all nabbed one", so think you'll be lucky to get one from that store now.

Cheers to the OP
Just got mine from St Helens store! Very happy bunny!!!
Just ordered one via click and collect - will be picking it up from Renfew store on Saturday, Thanks for the heads up guys!

Yes thanks done a click and collect too
order via phone just now.. Thanks OP very much and also for the one who mentioned about online availabity

phone number : 0800 505555

Did you actually speak to someone or was it computerised?
Cheers OP, picked one up in my local extra. Still had quite a few note shelf.

no, I spoke to the person. I asked for him to check for a product, he asked which one. I asked for Archos tablet and he immediately said can't check this one as they are selling out quick and can't really tell how much is available. he didn't ask for a catalogue number, so looks like many people would have called.
Cheers people, collecting on Saturday, pretty ideal as I'm off to Prague next month & I didn't want to take my laptop.

Spritey - you really have no idea what you're talking about.
Archos don't manufacturer these themselves - they a simply a rebranded Chinese product manufacturer by a Chinese electrical firm.
The link to said manufacturer was posted earlier in the thread - on that page the company itself said it had capacity for 200,000 units/month. I will trust their claims over yours.

Should we all start calling Apple Foxxconn aswell? You really are clueless. We are talking about an Archos tablet, if you want to start referring to every product brand by it's third party manufacturer be my guest, just over complicates the discussion.

Yes, the third party listed have a manufacturing capacity of 200,000.. That's their highest output, across the entire operation.. Remember, it won't be a custom tooled. Now take 'Just In Time' principles and apply it to this particular situation, possibility of spare capacity and fact Tesco have not publicized this deal (even leaving it off their own landing page and main area pages)...

I reckon you'll have 10-100 (Dependant on store size and location) per store, 500-1000 online.

Say on average all Tesco Extra and Superstores get around 20 each (optimistic estimate as some stores dont sell electrical), that's around 14,000 units alone.

Which means Archos third party manufacturer would of had to allocate 8% of monthly output alone to one product.

Quite a few available in the Chorley store - you just need to ask at the electrical desk (upstairs).
just bought 2 from tesco in Gloucester (brockworth). Lots of people doing the same. Were about 40 stacked near entrance to store.

Queued at Redditch Tesco Extra for an hour.

Empty display boxes on show just inside the store.

When looking for them, they hadn't even put them out!

So after first being told that there were plenty, they then wheeled out two small plastic packing boxes that probably held around two dozen in total, before marching us all downstairs to customer services to pay and there were around 20 others wanting them too.

So I would advise that you call the store before visiting as stocks may well be very limited indeed.

They are also operating a maximum of 2 per customer to keep things fair.
Just got one from Bletchely Milton Keynes, not on shelves, needed to buy from electrical counter, lot of people queuing.
Just managed to grab the last one at Durham Extra, Dragonville, must have been maybe 25 but gone within seconds.Speaking to people outside they were saying they were being sold on xmas eve aswell, Armani Diamonds cancelled but got one of these ,Cheers!:)
The cancelled orders are those who've tried to order more than 2 per customer.
Each order is limited to 2 units. I guess that when an order is processed and identified as a repeat taking the per customer total over 2 units, such repeat orders are cancelled, but the original order remains valid.

Where does it say 2 units per order,
I have ordered 2, one for me and the wife, on 2 different accounts with different names, different visa debit card but same billing address.

Hope they don't cancel them

Still loads in Irvine as of 0915
Excellent and many thanks. Ordered from online. Never really was interested in tabs (they seem very limited given I have both a laptop and pc) but at this price thought I'll give it a go primarily for portability and price!
Same as you monsavr, but for £50 it's got to be worth a try.... whether there will still be one waiting for me to collect instore on Saturday is another matter, but what the heck X)

do these have Bluetooth and HDMI port?
Hubby just picked up in store from Tower Park (Poole) but mgr there is allowing customers to buy as many as they want. NB he only bought 2 (one for each of us).

My son and my mate went to Tesco in Wishaw 25 in stock, only one per customer, son hanging about to see if he knows anyone who doesn't want one.

I was given an ipad2 yesteday but still ordered one for collection from store- no codes used but some cashback. Ipads are great but just have wanted a tablet this size for ages so couldn't resist.

About 20 left at Dudley extra, sold 80 odd already, be quick if u want one!
Got 2 of these at Tesco Extra Ayr( South West Scotland), 1 for Daughter, and 1 for me,,they seem to have a few left, around 25 , but may have more in the warehouse
I just bought this item online from Tesco Direct and used code £10 off £50 spend on first order code TDX-KJPW. It shows at £99 online but when you add it and go into the bsket its £49. I added a £1.75 outdoor sweeping brush to the basket to take it over £50 and selected collect from store.I can collect it after 4pm Saturday. I also went through quidco for "possible" 3% cashback on Tesco Direct orders. I bought the tablet and a brush for £40.75 total, and if quidco pay out it will be slightly less!
Sold out online now
Ordered one for myself online, whether i get a email telling me otherwise..... just have to wait and see.
