As above,

Fairly well specced bit of kit for the money, and at £250 less than the direct rival Galaxy Tab, it's a snip for those in the 7inch market.

Free delivery to store too.

This one at Tesco is the Archos 7 Home Tablet (RRP is £129.99)
- zeroHour2

It's only £126.20 at Amazon for this tablet
The specification in the title of this thread is incorrect, it does not have a Capacitive Screen, it also runs ANDROID™ 2.1 (Eclair) (if its the newer version, like the one at Amazon)

Its not what you think it is. This is actually the older and cheaper Archos 7 home tablet which you can source for a little over £100.

Id give it a miss too as it runs v1.6 android whereas the 70 has 2.2

Tesco do stock the Archos 70 Internet tablet but this unfortunately isn't it.

Oh bloody hell.

Hopefully you haven't ordered one yet?.

If you do find a cheap deal on one I'll be one of the first to indulge!. I like Archos gear and whilst i opted for the better 10" alternative to the Archos 101 i.e. the Advent Vega the truth is Archos are just too hard to beat for media playback and in particular hd 720p mkv playback which the Archos 70 will do an impressive job of playing...unlike this Advent that cant currently hack it even with it's dual core tegra 2 cpu!.

The deal needs to be either confirmed as the A70 or it needs to be changed as the title is misleading.

I had a A70 IT and it was superb. I paid around £200 for it (about 4 months or so ago) so the price could be right given the newer tabs coming out. IF it was this price and confirmed as an A70 I would seriously consider getting another one!

Edit: Just checked the site and it is the older model, which is pants.......Needs expiring

The next cheapest for this one is £126.20 at Amazon
The title and description of this post should be changed as it's not the correct specification!

Bloody he'll, resurrected. I know that now. I chanced it on a listing error and returned it.

No harm done.

The reason i posted the title should be changed and added the extra info, is just in case anyone else is looking for one, spots this and makes the same mistake. Not everybody will read all the posts, and Tesco don't make it clear it's the cheaper one on there page.
Wasn't having a dig ;)

I have the Archos 70 Internet Tablet (the one you thought it was), it's a fantastic little tablet. Picked mine up on fleabay for £150, and would recommend it to anyone.

I've not rooted it, but I do have the full Android Market installed. I was considering buying the 101 but the size of the 70 is much better for when i'm out and about paired with my Mifi dongle for the internet. The battery life is better than any portable unit i've ever had, it surprised me just how long I get out a full charge.
