Which one will turn up though, the Freezer 13 or Alpine 11 Plus?

Also, I had one of these and returned it. The mounting plate and clamps are awful and could not get it to fit on my board. (Supposedly a good cooler if you can get it to fit)

I went for a http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gelid-Solutions-Tranquillo-Rev-2-Cooler/dp/B002UV4OWM/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1339536968&sr=1-1 for the same price (at the time) and its mounting system is miles better

Hmm I dunno whether to take a punt. Pic and code is of Freezer 13, title and price of a Alpine. I'd have an expensive door stop if the Alpine turned up.

    From Amazon:
    "Item model number: UCACO-FZ130-BL
Freezer 13 carries on the legacy of the renowned Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 to continue providing efficient and low noise CPU cooling solution for enthusiasts. Featuring four U-shaped high performance heatpipes and 45 efficiently formed aluminum fins; the Freezer 13 is able to dissipate massive heat that is produced in high-end CPUs, such as Intel Core i7. "

From past experience with Amazon in a similar situation I would expect it to be the 13.

I've never returned anything to Amazon. Do they cover the return postage?

AFAIK, only if the item is faulty or the problem with the order is due to Amazon's fault.

So the question is, if I get an Alpine, would it be their fault, as the listing states Alpine even though the picture and description show otherwise?

Hmm.. like a lucky dip, good cpu cooler or door stop.

    it's a 13

Ordered one as my current CPU cooler tends to make a lot of noise at high speeds

All the reviews are for the Alpine 11, regardless of what the description says, I believe this will be the Alpine 11.

I agree you could return it though, but take a screenshot just in case ;-)

    i use the
    Zalman CNPS8000B
as it is low profile (small) ! and fits great in a,
    coolermaster 360 case

    exactly right.

If you changed your mind then you pay, if there is a problem with the order or the item is faulty they refund everything.

I had to return a Switch a couple of months ago as they dispatched it with a Euro plug and the customer care couldn't have been better, even though the item was dispatched by a third party amazon handled everything and even gave me a phone call 5 minutes after emailing them to apologise and ensure everything was correct, refund was issued within minutes.

I find youtube great for tutorials. Installing hsf's (heat sink fans) are a breeze if somebody has uploaded an 'how to' video.

Ignore- seen it at that price by Amazon but temporary out of stock :)

I have returned a product to Amazon before when I changed my mind and had to pay the £3.10 postage. I have also returned a product when the wrong item turned up, it was different to the description, they paid for the postage.

Both times a return label was printed off from an email link and the return money was credited promptly.

whilst the title describes one thing the description indicates the Arctic 13, might be worth a punt.

It was a similar thing when I got the weather station which happened to be different to the description - they refunded and paid for the return postage.

Was it in stock for anyone when they ordered from the amazon seller..?

I am using that exact cooler, it is superb. I knocked my temp down by 15c. I picked mine up from Dabs a while back.

Pros : it does exactly what it needs to do without spending the earth
Cons: Its a Beast, literally I still cant fit the cover on my case but I have a see through case so I dont mind

This sounds a bit techy..is this item a desk fan or a part for a freezer? oO
