Maybe a Morrisons thread is in order, to go with the Sinsburys one.

This is obviously a decent deal for anyone who likes Aero desserts.

Morrisons deals are perculiar, I bought the "Buy 1 Get 2 free" pizzas today and the turkey ham.

Son's birthday party on Sunday so cheap grub, plenty of E numbers and additives to keep the little ******s jumpin'.

Did you know you can actually buy ready made Spam Fritters? I used to love these all them thar years ago, when I was a nipper at school. Couldn't have them without beans tho'!
A pack of 4 fritters costs about 2 quid. - rip-off!!! :)

My local fish n chip shop did Battered Spam with chips for about 40p when I was a nipper!!

I am sure we are sorry :whistling: if you feel victimised, but I have got to agree with the comments. I mean we could all quote Tesco's, Asda's etc.... special offers. It has puzzled me for a while why these posts are permitted.

e.g.

HALF PRICE Was £1.48 Now 74p
Mangoes each

Buy 1 Get 1 FREE
Princes Tuna Chunks in Springwater

Buy 1 Get 1 FREE
Carex Handwash

Kumala Eternal Shiraz Cabernet 75cl Was £7.99 Now £3.99
The ideal party wine Full and soft dark fruits

All great deals from Tesco's but i'm sure you get the picture, HUKD could be just one grocery shopping list.

but surely the same could be said about 90% of the threads on here, most people receive those damned annoying emails from ebuyer, game, argos, amazon.

The difference is that some people bother to post what they consider to be genuinely good deals.

Why do you not think this is a good deal?

Have you seen the item cheaper elsewhere or had a bad experience with the retailer?

I agree with the part about many posts just replicating emails, many a time I see posts of an email I had received a few days earlier, in fact (time for sad confession) my brother and I were discussing the very fact yesterday whilst walking our dogs, we always ask each other if we have seen any good deals on HUKD, in recent times we have both commented on how many supermarket BOGOF offers, two for etc.... seem to be more prevalent.

I didn't say it wasn't a good deal my point is that Tesco's have hundreds of offers similar to the one posted, some saving more money, some saving less. If you then take into account that there is Asda, Sainsburys's, Morrisons, Ocado, Netto, Lidl, Aldi, Co-op etc.... then you could have hundreds or maybe thousands of posts.

I guess everybody is entitled to post what they feel to be a good offer, but wouldn't they be better on some sort of designated thread rather than as individual posts:thinking: .

IMHO opinion it can be tricky enough catching a sneaky peak of HUKD whilst at work, and to have to trawl through the ever growing number of what IMHO are genuine and good offers, but not exactly Hot UK Deals, is getting harder and if i'm honest less enjoyable:-( .

Personally i wouldn't class this as a hot deal.

Consider if i went to Tesco etc. and made a note of all these offers and came home and posted them...............i'd completely dominate the first 5 pages of the forums.

And if it was all about whether it was the cheapest price available then i'm sure most would then qualify, but in reality it would just be pages and pages of spam.

I totally agree with Yorkie and Syzable about the number of these posts which is why I suggested a supermarket stickie to encompass all the bogofs/specials/half prices etc.

It isn't just supermarket posts that "clog" this board. Not everyone is intersted in Halo 3 yet there are 166 threads dedicated to the game.

I agree with what you're saying as well neil.

Which is why i've been saying lately that this has become more like Hot UK Tips rather than Deals.

There are still the odd gems to be found but it's more like a price comparisson site these days. :-(

I feel for you, its not nice when your deal is voted cold. It feels like a personal assault, but in reality it's just the deal they are insulting.

Believe me, this deal looks amazing compared to some I've seen on here.

But this is the coldest deal I've seen, and if nothing else, you should be proud of that :giggle:

Good deal, but I think there should be a seperate food section for such deals since quite a few people here seem to generally be looking for high end goods or those which they may be able to sell on etc. (or so it would seem).
