Cheers I've been wondering when this would come around again - wish it was last week - with those 1/2 price toys offer - I would have saved a bit before my sons birthday and got money back too!
#2
Wish this started tomorrow (tues) just reserved over £100 of stuff, still glad to see it back

be careful if you shop online. they send you a £10 off code thats only valid for further online shops!! total waste of space when the postage is £5.95! it doesn't take off the postage its only £10 off the item. I just made that HUGE mistake. just because I couldnt be bothered to carry the bags home.

Code EFD10 might still work for free delivery

You should be able to if you call.

So can I buy a £50 gift card and get a £5 one free? Or have they stopped this?

Nice. Over the weekend I reserved the Guitar Hero 4 game/instrument pack for the XBOX360. My aim was the pick it up at my local store because it wasn't available for home delivery. Received an email today to say that's it's available for collection from tomorrow [Tuesday] but I think I'll wait till Wednesday to nab the £10 gift card too *Mwahh ha ha*

I wonder what offers will be on this Wednesday ("Argos Day"). Any argos insiders about ?
#15
Nice 1.
Thanks u.

I don't think so. I remember reading one of the terms included 'excludes the purchase of gift vouchers' in the previous offer, although I could be wrong.
#17
last time this deal was on (about two weeks ago) i bought £100 gift card & got £10 gift card free then bought £50 gift card & got £5 gift card free then with the £150 gift cards bought an ipod touch & got another £10 gift card free.So ended up with the ipod and £25 in free gift cards.
#18
matty85 you are correct :)

i ordered something on my Argos card, chose a late delivery date, waited about 2-5 day's. got an email saying thank you with he £10 voucher code, called Argos card and cancelled my order, voucher was still valid, used it on-line to buy pro evo 2009 and nfs undecover for xbox 360, used the code and free del code!

Pro Evo £24.99
NFS £33.99
gym gloves £4.99

total = £69.92 - £10 & free del = £53.97 - the gloves and the pro evo it means i got nfs for only 23.99!

£10 off workaround without paying for del if you want more then one thing!

PS: i had to buy something else to make the total over £50 for the free del code to work as when you add it and then subtract the voucher it gets removed if the total is less then £50

hope other's benefit from this glitch! =)

if you ring customer services they will send out the voucher...it takes a little while but you do get it if you explain you havent kept email and you assumed they were posting it to you...i have done this a couple of times

Mind tokens usually only last 3 months or so.

This is correct (the terms and conditions) however it depends on who you get served by in the shop. A colleague bought an Ipod the last time this was on, similar to the post above, and ended up with £25 of vouchers for the £100/£50 (gift voucher purchase) and then the £150 spend. The lady he was served by simply issued the free voucher - it seems some of thArgos staff either don't know their own T & C's or aren't bothered!

i did it for 6x£50 vouchers and 2x£100 vouchers. was getting things for xmas from a few stores so chanced my arm and I got them no problem. Got my £50 worth of free vouchers then used my £550 vouchers and got another £50 off. Couldnt split my daughters tv down to a separate order of £100 unfortunately.
Great savings. Xmas shopping done.
Just one warning though.
There were a few things in Argos from the kids santa list that were £65 in argos and £35 in john lewis.
£40 in argos and £25 on amazon.
The things I got were cheaper in Argos or the same price as elsewhere.
But what I did notice was that argos prices were sometimes £5 higher on £50+ itmes and £10 dearer on £100+ items.

just received email from argos £5 off £30 spend, £10 off £50 spend and £20 off £100 spend on toys ordered online today, use code TOY1108PVE then EFD10 for free delivery on orders over £50. Apologies if I've posted it twice fingers numb with cold:w00t:
#25
EFD10 still valid but toy etc not valid well not for me anyway
#26
It you are buying online, see if you can buy through the Homebase website. If you can I would wait until Friday Saturday or Sunday for 10% off, alot of the same goods, same delivery charge, just not stuck with an online gift voucher or having to reach a certain spend level.

Just reserved 2 x £100 worth of goodies to get the vouchers, but will try to buy 2 x £100 worth of vouchers first so by the end of it should have £40 extra vouchers. Whey Hey fingers crossed.

thanks for the post :)

They now changed the t&c instore which now mentions that it excludes the purchase of gift cards.

Previously it only mentioned this online and that's why people managed to use the loophole.

Yes. you do get free vouchers on purchasof gift vouchers. Worked well for me today.
#31
Girl on the till was on the ball and said sorry no gift card given for buying gift vouchers... oh well. Worth trying as seems some people have gotten away with it. I sold the £5 gift card I got to the person behind me in the queue... for £5... so that was alright.

If am am buying £250 of goods (instore) will I receive £25 or will it just be £10 unless I split the order up and pay seprately, (eg, £100, £100 and £50) I remember last year having to do this but seems to be an awful lot of hassle and can't get it working out right
Thanks

You need to split it up..

If you spend anything between £100 and £1000000 in a single transaction you will only get a £10 voucher.
#36
thank you, thought that was the case, just have to pay seprately then.
