Yes a great deal if you can find stock!
banned#2
tell me about it :(
#3
Just reserved the 2 carnival games for £9.80, the table tennis was out of stock everywhere I looked.

Thanks OP ;-)
#4
Works with just two of the games ie no need for POC3 also.

Managed to reserve some in Edinburgh. Thanks
#5
OOS in Aberdeen!
#6
Seems to discount the POC3 to £9.80 if you add Ratatouille, same price for the 4 games as OP, just you might have better luck with stock levels, probably ;-)
#8
Just to warn people they're all very badly reviewed. £30 is still a lot to pay for bad games.

www.metacritic.com/games provides a great summary of reviews.

This isnt working instore if you reserve and collect because there is an issue with Argos till system when you reserve and collect certain multibuy items. Best bet is to use the reserve and collect feature to identify the stores with them and hope you can get to them before they sell.

There was a similar problem on many 2 for £30 games, a lot of the time they would cancel my reservation instore and then just put them through straight away before they were rereserved! Given this deal isnt "official" then you would probably have problems getting them to cancel a reservation instore....

Shows the importance of looking at the original thread - It's mentioned multiple times not to use the automated paypoint to buy these as it does'nt show up at the discounted price when paying.

They don't have to honour it - it quite clearly says you are reserving the item not the price.
Before christmas I got the ds guinness world records and the offer didn't show up as BOGOF until I asked and then the assistant checked the till and managed to bring up the screen (another copy of that game free or a selection of others at £9.78 instead of £19.56) so I got 2 copies of the ds game for £9.78.
Some stores might honour it if you have a printout but they aren't under any obligation too!!

I'd rather buy two top notch games than 4-6 average one's.

But that's just me. :-D
#21
just to let people know that i tried this at dinner time with carnival games and the golf and it didnt work

the cahier got the manager over and she explained they that knew about the glitch (since boxing day) and that she would ring customer services, she came back and said that both games are £9.98

******

btw this was the darlington branch
#22
worked for me in coventry about 12ish today:-D
#23
worked for me - took a printout of my email and asked if the cashier would honour it.. she asked manager who just gave a nod.. well pleased but they did keep my printout so I'm not sure if a mobile phone screen grab will do.. heat & rep

All stores have been informed of this glitch and I have been told that it will be fixed by tomorrow,
#25
Reserved Carnival and Golf at 9.78 and 0.02 respectively. At till both came up at 9.78 and my wife paid - but after a chat with the manager she was given a credit note for 9.76 - everyone happy!
#26
bought carnival and wii crazy golf for 9.80 today ,took printout to argos middleton mcr and they honoured price without any probs
#27
i had no probs today paid just 9.78 in caerphilly for the both carnival games and golf

All stores have been informed of this glitch and I have been told that it will be fixed by tomorrow,

Does that mean they'll fix the website so they come up full price or they'll come up at the till for 9.80 for two games.
#29
Worked for me too - I couldn't get them at the local store but reserved them from Shepton Mallet - went in and tried the atutomated pay and as other have said comes up as full price. Went to the till and they tried charging me full price but thanks to this thread had printed the receipt from the pre-book and they honoured without any issues (although they struggled to process it through the system).

Thanks to poster - now have two games fro £9.80
#30
Great deal got mine after the manager over rode the till
#31
I tried at my local store today, experienced the same as others in that they came up full price at the till, I had the printed reservation sheet but sadly they wouldnt honour it :-( was worth a try!
#32
Deal was honoured in Wrexham - thanks OP!
#33
they wouldn't honour the deal in Perth:x
#34
Managed to get the Crazy Golf and the Guiness Records Wii games for a total of £9.78!!!

I mentioned the deal to the cashier (i didn't have the printout confirmation) she checked on the system & said that she couldn't see the offer. She then went to speak to the manager - they must be aware of the glitch because she came back & said yes it s ok. I didn't even see the manager, the cashier put through the transaction as £9.78 for one game and £0.00 for the other.

I was a bit cheeky and asked the cashier if I could get this offer on any other games - she simply said yes and said she would put through as buy 1 get 1 free (I am serious!). Unfortunately the games I was selecting were out of stock or else I would have got another bargain. Oh well, maybe next time!!!
#35
took a printout confirmation email and got carnival games and mini golf 9.80.manager overode the price no question!

I reserved Carnival and Golf at the St.Austell store. When they checked the price it was wrong and then they checked the computer system, there was a message telling them not to honnor this deal.

Does this mean this deal should now be expired?
#38
Reserved mine las night and went to Witney store today to collect, they tried to charge me full price but I had taken a print out of the reserved price, the guy on the till said he had to get the offer code, Still couldn't find the deal (as expected) he asked me what the deal was called on-line, I said I was unsure so he just got a set of keys out and manually put it through the till. (it could be that I am less than a week off 40 weeks pregnant and he didn't want to upset me and set me off) Thank you OP heat added.
#39
I reserved 4 games (Carnival games, golf, Ratatouille and table tennis) last night. Took the reservation printout to Salisbury store, took a while for the manager to investigate, She said it was a mistake, due to the print out she would honour it and then bought 2 games herself!!!
