Done loads of reserch on this and bought 1 last week and another 1 today!

Don't take my word for it, look at what others have said...

Awesome processor (google for reviews)
Tons of ram
Great graphics card
Good customer service (see tons of reviews on argos and amazon website etc etc)
Lots of disk space, includes HDMI and webcam
Decent webcam (see reviews)
Great keyboard and excellent design - case looks quality by the way

Only genuine minor concerns from all the reviews

Battery - 2-3 hours at best (which for me is great!)
Touchpad gets some getting use to (according to a handful of reviews out of hundreds I've read)

acer - are you serious? Will fall apart in a year if you carry it about to uni/work and will definately have been repaired at least once in that time. Average spec for the price, poor quality and good luck dealing with Argos when it breaks.

£10 more and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better spec

How is that dell a better spec than this?

Plus I'm on an acer now and its 9 years old and problem free.

Parts go over time on all machines. Just look at the car industry.

I know because i did some research and found this site as well as other surveys that said Sony were far more reliable than Dell
http://www.pcmag.com/image_popup/0,1871,iid=242801,00.asp

Then maybe your doing the wrong research?

Sony and Dell make none of the parts for their laptops...

And both source their parts through Foxconn...

So it's just a matter of luck getting a unit without any faults.

Totally disagree, the Dell I list at £10 more is a far superior machine. The i3-330 processor in the Dell wipes the floor with the AMD M300.

you can often get these from the argos clearance store on a well-known auction site for under 300 quid delivered. They're refurbs but come with a 1 year guarantee.
