you cant get everything for the price - but a couple of year ago a non HD tv like this cost the same amount, if not more!
#5
Thats why its cheap, it wont work in a few years.

what do you mean, it won't work ?

of course it will, you only need a £20 digibox... possibly cheaper by the time analogue gets turned off in my area (beginning 2010)

right now I can only get 4 channels, and one of those is Welsh half the time, so I have Freesat and it works perfectly well with our analogue LCD tv's

and with dvi input you can even hook up a skyhd box with a dvi to hdmi lead , this tv runs my wii very nice in 480p and also a xbox1 in 1080i on xbmc
#8
haha, nah, its just why buy a flat screen and have it wall mounted then have to buy a digi box then have 2 remotes...

you know what i mean, the anolgue tuner will not work in a few years, everything else will.

a lot of people, including me, can't get freeview at all at the moment, so what use would a digital tuner be to us?

for anyone who owns this can u tell me whats the best settings like?
and where can i get a dvi-hmdi lead from?
#12
Thinking about getting this, at least if it breaks in the first year you can physically take it straight back to argos
#13

Says nothing about HDCP so it could become completely useless for Sky HD very soon

Personally i'd avoid any HD LCD that doesn't state that its HDCP compliant, it'll become a wasted purchase within a couple of years.
#17
you reckon?!
#18
For a TV to be able to display the HD Ready logo like this one does, the license requires DVI inputs to be HDCP compliant anyway and has done for at least a couple of years so it shouldn't be an issue even if it doesn't mention HDCP in the specs.

Can I hook a PC and a Premium Xbox 360 to this at the same time?

Any 360 users out there using this ...... u happy with product?!

I bought this last time it came down in price and I am well happy! I have a samsung HD TV which runs my SKY HD so I use the Acoustic solutions TV to view my XBOX 360 and my PC. 360 looks good in high def on it though it can be a bit dark at times. PC looks good aswell. I really recommend this TV at this price

Strange... Blooming is a defect that can appear on CRT not LCD

i bought this today primarily for the xbox 360 but i have to say my first impressions are poor. either that or i am doing something wrong. the screen is way too dark and the settings doesnt seem to be able to help, just makes the screen look cloudier.
the colours run into each it seems, when i tried to play uno, the cards were very blurred looking. what would be the problem?

...as in the whites have a little blooming (those in the know understand the effect) top and bottom of the screen seem to be a little hazy. I know it is a effect that appears on CRT, but this best describes the effect on the LCD

has anyone tried hooking this up to their xbox 360. i have tried with the cables for pc but they plug for the sound and for the main plug are far too close to each other? anyone have this problem?
