Thank you OP .... Great Find ...
I need a wireless controller for PS3. Can I use this MISPRICE glitch and return back the game? Do Argos accept returns on console games never opened?

Although it might not be an official controller it's not the end of the world.
I got one of these compatible infra-red controllers when I bought my bundle from Argos just before Christmas. It broke after a few weeks (it's possible that the dog got to the IR dongle thingy - but I'm not sure). Anyway I took it back to Argos as faulty and they refunded me the full original amount of £24.99.

The controller is meant to be half price £7. So this is an error on the system. Only compatible with those games with the special offer attached so not all games.

You will need the manager to approve this instore.

Good luck

i have known them to honour reservations that have gone back up to full price if the offer has finished when you collect but never for a mistake

Voted hot as you can get a game and a controller for less than the price of the controller.

it has a little usb dongle reciever thing to stick in your ps3 and it requires batteries for the controller but for the price its not bad
#17
To be fair, these 3rd party controllers are probably only worth about £1.50

I hope your son is over 18...

It may be an 18 certificate but that doesn't mean that the OP shouldn't buy it for her son. What it does mean is that the OP should have acknowledged the rating and understood the reasons for it being rated. Buying based on suitability rather than pressure...

They are ok. I have a PS3 and a 360 and untill we signed up for games on lovefilm we only used the PS3 for fifa. Its slightly larger than the original and obviously you have to plug in the little dongle. They seem pretty well made and battery life is good (we only use rechargables brought from a pound store)

Bargain, been holding off getting a spare PS3 controller until the price dropped. This could work out good as long as I can find a game I like.

How do you get MW2 for £25? Or am I about three months too late for that?
#31
Well worth 1.50 I paid 15 quid for mine and it does everything the official one does, apart from being chargeable.

Doesn't the fact that it has an 18cert automatically mean it's not suitable for anyone under 18?
Ok so it's a grey area with kids who are like 16/17.
But would you really want your 11 year old (for example) playing a game thats been certified for adults only?
Plus, I hate kids when I play online, always shouting down the comms and playing flamin music.

CBA to get into a big debate over it cos it will only spiral into chaos and before we know it Hitler will be involved.
Ps. I don't know what OP means.

OP means Original Poster I think. And SAME! Really hate bratty screaming kids playing an 18 game online. Parents should show more responsibility

I'd have absolutely no issue if I had a young child with them playing most 18 rated games. I grew up on a healthy diet of bloody and violent video games and turned out just (about) fine.

Though that said it does depend on the child and on the game, and it should be down to the parent. How many people watched an 18 rated movie before they hit 18? I'm pretty sure most of you.

And I've no problem with kids on-line providing they aren't screaming racial slurs, and I hope I'd bring my kid up well enough to ensure that doesn't happen.

It's a bit unfair to put all kids in the same boat.

Back to the deal, this is awesome and I intend to give it a go at lunch!

I never suggested that it was ok for an 11 year old to be playing an 18 rated game.

My son is 2. When he's 11 will I buy him COD10 (or wherever they are up to by then)? No. Of course not. When he's 14/15? Perhaps IF I feel that he's mature enough then I'd consider. 16/17 same...18..nothing I can do.

Seems true nowadays but whatever happened to decent third party controllers?

Time was when everyone I knew had a controller they preferred over the official one.
#38
picked mine up today at bishopbriggs and have now come home and placed a reservation at cumbernauld for another one as an extra controller for £1.50 wont go wrong! :)
#39
Got it for £1.50. Third party controllers used to be A LOT better though...
#40
whats the chances of taking the game back and just keeping the controller...would that work cuz 9.99 for fifa 09 is a bit steep ...
