Not a joke. It's a response to a pointless post.

Actually, the post was useful, your response was pointless. You've obviously seen other people make it and thought you'd copy them to look clever, but you don't understand the context.

If someone says that "X is not a good price because it was Y in 2015", that's the kind of comment that'll earn a tired time machine joke.

If someone provides information about relative pricing, without the moaning, that is just useful.

So I have basically learned next to nothing about this TV after 40 comments, due to all the pointless slanging.

He didn't say it's a bad deal, just that it's been cheaper before. No guarantees that the previous deal will return but good for some to know.

Hisense TVs are sold by John Lewis, Richer Sounds, Crampton & Moore to name a few.
The 7000 range is top spec so this mid range i guess and its the 7000 series that haveen getting serious praise in general

It looks suspiciously good. Apparently it's 8-bit panel + FRC and a very good size for being under £500. Does anyone know if there's any catch? I don't particularly like the fact it's curved, but my living room 40" old Bravia needs a replacement and this one looks pretty good.

No catch it's great for the price, next one up is the non-curved ULED 55M7000 for £599 which is nearing out of stock from all places. This is a good price.

It's an amazing tv for the price I've had a few months. Netflix in 4K HDR looks great through Xbox tho the HDR is quite dark it helps when there is a HDR brightness adjustment available.

Might be a while, the HDMI 2.1 standard (the one that adds Variable sync support) has not been completely finalised, so it might be next year depending on when the standard is rolled out.

I was thinking of planning on getting a cheap 4K TV to go with the Scorpio but MS announcing the console will support VRR has me stalling.

it's easy to get sucked in with a £100 off £600 when something was £450 previously!
Knowing something was cheaper before in a deal simple provides context!
Petrol was cheaper last year! Have u stopped buying petrol?

Absolutely spot on, I find it useful to know how the price of something has been fluctuating before making a purchase.

Yeah ok boss! Seen and used it plenty of times, thanks!

This is the best price RIGHT NOW so who cares what it was? Totally irrelevant. Especially when the named company are asking £80 more.

This is a deal site afterall, not what you could of got it for in the past.

Real question now is why am I wasting my time responding to you?...

Great Price !! heat for the price. not for Argos though , wouldn't buy anything like a TV or anything over £10 From Argos .
Reason--tried to flog me used items on a couple of occasions . one was..Yes you Guessed it a TV luckily I went to collect it and saw straight away it had been unboxed before. manger denied it. until I saw a delivery sticker on the side with some one else's name & Address oO it was a Hisense 55M3000.

Btw I have got this TV...I got it from Amazon for the cheaper price others have mentioned a while ago .it does have some backlight bleeding issues .had one sent back but the second one too has some but not too bad I think its a very good TV for the Money!!

You seem to be the only person living in this "RIGHT NOW" mentality. Most people considering purchasing a TV most probably do not need one "RIGHT NOW." Most people could probably afford to wait and see if a better price comes along soon enough. A TV is a luxury not an essential that one must have, correct?

Why do you think Camel Camel Camel graphs are often referenced here? Wouldn't you say if the price of something was on sale for less before, it would be more likely to drop again than an item whose price is not fluctuating? So yes whether a deal is a good deal should take into account past, present and future prices.

So this site is useless because the price might be reduced later?
Nearly all electrical items get cheaper over time as newer versions are released.

My crystal ball is out of batteries so I can only go off the best price available AT THE MOMENT ;)

Fact is this is a good deal, 596°, regardless of how much Amazon sold it for.

If you had a time machine surely you'd do Biff and buy a sports results book and then change the future for the worse whilst getting filthy rich.

Or you could save a few quid on a Hisense I suppose.

Quit being so stubborn. You made a bad joke, get over it.

Anyway, nobody said this site is 'useless'. This site highlights noteworthy deals; people's valuable input (as well as tools like camelcamelcamel) provide us with perspective on just how great or not-so-great these deals are. With this information, individuals can make a more informed decision on whether or not to buy the product at the time of posting.

Some only care about the present and may really want the item, so they disregard past prices, and that's fine. Others don't need the item desperately and are happy waiting for a lower price, especially after knowing it was once cheaper. Some of the counterarguments on here are just silly, I mean someone compared petrol to a 4K HDTV. Really now.

Having been a user this website since its infancy one thing ive noticed is that there's nothing like a TV deal to bring the argumentative, pedantic plantpots out in force ......

hot deal btw, excellent TV for the price

Android smart or just smart smart?

I have the M3300 model which I bought last year - if it's the same OS then it's not Android - and it's not great. It does come with Netflix, Amazon and Plex built in however I never use them as I prefer the functionality of my Fire TV box which has these plus more.

Hisense H55M7000 £669.99 (£569.99 with BNPL) @ Very

Dunno how much better the 7000 series is though.
