Recharge 1000 times.
Long shelf life.
Retains 85% of charge after one year.

The ones we got were around a year and a half old - but still got a charge though :-)

They're selling out quick though

This is a great deal. Heat and rep.
#3
Heat added, cold voters remember these are "hybrid" batteries which don't lose their charge in the same way as cheaper batteries.
#4
None available near me, but definitely a hot deal if you can get them!

That's if you can find any, only store in east midlands is March (AAs). I have reserved some but found some of the Eneloop power packs (£9.99) near my Mum's so if anyone wants the March reservation then let me know.

The power packs are easier to find (but still hard) and may represent better value if you want the charger and adaptors.
4 x AA
2 x AAA
Quick charger
2 x D cell adaptors
2 x C cell adaptors.

1 pack of AAs left in March after my reservation BTW.
#7
Power packs go for 3x 4x as much elsewhere

thanks:thumbsup:

For anyone whose argos is out of stock 7 dayshop have packs of 4 AA Sanyo Eneloop for £6.69 http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_3&products_id=105241&PHPSESSID=

Great product these - already charged out of thebox, and can be re-used up to 1000 times - cracking value for money.

Buy it.
#11
Does that £9.99 power pack come with batteries. I doubt it does.

If I'm reading it right it means the adapter to charge AA batteries etc
#12
Anyone know if these 2000mAh like the ones 7dayshop are selling?
#13
Thankyou very much, just reserved a power pack
#14
The usual result when looking for "bargain" Eneloops, Hybrios, etc. None in stock!
#15
eneloops are without a doubt the best batteries ive ever had for digital camera etc. they dont lose strength when not in use and you get 1000 charges from each. perfect!
#16
Oh well everything OOS at my local and at my dads :-P

Edit: ah.. if I actually read what it says, the stock checker doesn't work after 10pm!

EDIT:

http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_3&products_id=105240<- Comes with a charger for just about £5 more, if your Argos is out of stock, or if your charger recently broke on a trip to Paris (thanks to HUKD, actually).

Note the C and D's are just adaptors.

I've read Sanyo do make Eneloop in C and D sizes, but I don't think they are available in the UK.

Argos also have/had 4 AA's with a charger for £6.99, however the charger doesn't seem to be much cop - read the reviews http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9801516/Trail/searchtext%3EENELOOP.htm

Anybody know if a standard charger would be ok for these or even a Uniross Hybrio charger ??
Could do with 8 AA's for a RC helicopter transmitter but have enough chargers lying around without addind another :D

Voted Hot as you can't go wrong for four quid !!

Thanks.

Good price for hybrids...

2000mAh is a bit low nowadays. More usual is 2600 or 2700 for digital cameras.
#25
got last pack in Swindon.......thanx for the tip....

You just need a standard Ni-Mh charger, I charge mine in a typical delta-V charger.
I'd avoid putting them in ultra-fast 15 minute chargers though.

These are low self discharge batteries. You can charge them up and leave them in a camera or keep them in a draw and they are instantly ready to use. They're by far the best battery I've used.

It has been suggested that they need a thicker separator for the technology to work, hence the slightly lower capacity. http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/view_topic.php?id=96500&forum_id=51#post_id=554046

HEAT and REP.

Great deal there. Bought 12 of each.

I don't really have any electrical appliances though. Anybody got any ideas of goods I can buy which use AA or AAA batteries?

The end of the 20th century / early 21st is a good place to look.

You obviously read it wrong, I put it in my post to make it clear. I doubt that other vendors could sell the pack for £30-£40 otherwise.

The are the same Eneloops but 7DS also sell Unross Hybrios and Panasonic Infiniums, either one or both of the latter may be 2100mAh (I can't remember) but what's 100mAh between friends? :)

Hybrids are NiMH can be charged with the same equipment so either should be fine.

Most people report equal or better performance with hybrid, due to the way they use them. The only benefit of high capcity NiMH is if you are going to use them immediately and hammer them until they are flat, a childs toy for example.

Hybrids are better for cameras when you want to take a few snaps over a long period (normal use), NiMH will win when you are on holiday in Rome when you are taking dozens of snaps and recharging every night.

My missus has a Fuji bridge camera that takes 4x AA and when she takes it out for the day she complains the batteries flatten too quickly, the only solution is Hybrids or to have a set of NiMHs permanantly charging just in case she needs the camera. This is why I have bought the Eneloops from this deal and some Infiniums from from 7DS.

Try http://www.component-shop.co.uk/

They sell eneloop compatible batteries 4.50 for 4 AA's and 3.95 for 4 AAA's - discounts for quantity.
#35
Yay, reserved the last pack of AAA near where I live, got the right ones this time, ordered two packs of AA last time there was an offer (my mistake) :-)
#36
Thanks to Op. Went for the last charger pack in Cannock Argos.

This charger is a different one, only does 2 at a time.

I downloaded the manual, couldn't work out if it's a safety cut off or a timer though
#38
Not sure why this has expired, I just reserved mine at the Pontypool branch and there was another pack of AA's left
#39
Cheers reserved a few packs. Will come in handy for xbox controllers.
