2015 model, have seen some reviews of white light leakage and slow android. let me know your thoughts if you've bought it.

Bought the 55" 8509 in 2015 - which is the higher model and found it very poor. Sent it back. Very bad light bleed and the android was awful. I think they have updated android but personally wouldn't buy these TVs.

I was just about to say my 49x8309 is fantastic... picture quality is superb and I got over the light bleed which is minimal. Android is fast on it and the Synology video app is good for browsing video content on my NAS

I've never had a TV like it; the software has been a mess since launch and despite many patches it's still unstable - reboots during watching 4k, Netflix/Amazon not launching etc etc. Requires a hard reboot everytime. Very unimpressed with Sony despite having had their TVs for years.

Worst tv ever, had a 43" and returned it after it practically wiped its own software off and was left with a black canvas on my wall.

I have the 43" version and very happy with it, yes it was slow when youview feature was enable, disabled it and the TV is now OK.

The TV is now running Android V6. I have no issues with the reported with the reported light bleed.

but I do have the 43XD8305

Got the b graded one of these off Argos eBay for £427 last week. was brand new and unopened. bought the voice remote off eBay for £20 it is out of this world. it came with latest software and plays the 4k drone footage off YouTube in absolutely stunning definition.. cannot reccomend this TV enough. registered TV with Sony for a full guarantee.. also easy to install showbox and mobro straight on... bye bye sky

how do you put the code in

I have a similair 2015 version of these minus the 4K and haven't had any problems with the andriod system on that, apart from having to force close apps occasionaly. Maybe it is something in the 4K sets.
