Note this is different deal to http://www.hotukdeals.com/deal/449003/telecam-tce2000-wideband-indoor-aer/ as it is amplified which I would think is better for £4 extra as buying a standalone amplifier will be more expensive.

If you have a poor freeview signal all this will do is amplify the "noise"

With respect you are missing the point how many aerials with built in amplifiers can you you puy for £8? Not everyone lives in poor freeview areas and when the switchover to digital happens Im told that broadcasters will increase the signal power to overcome poor reception areas so actually this might be a good buy for a bedroom/standalone tv.

Agreed the price is good...if you get these things to work...I couldn't and we live in strong freeview area. I wanted one of these things for the upstairs TV..ended up ditching it..waste of time.

Well, the good thing with Argos is you can try it out. If it doesn't work, return it. I have tried a few items before, kept the one which worked best for me and returned the rest with no problems. The bigger problem is where are they available? Not in my area (LS)

not sure about the amplifier, but I have bought a couple of these aerials on their own and they are excellent. I have tried a few indoor aerials in the past and I have found these to be the best make.
