Heat added. It's cheaper than buying the stuff separately.

I bought the similar set from tesco a couple of days ago. Points I'll make about it:
Knives are good and sharp. Sounds like a weird statement, but I find that most budget knives are horribly blunt to the point that they're dangerous.
Spatula/Fish slice are made of plastic. I'd assume they have a high melting threshold. But just something to note.
Saucepans & frying pans are solid enough. Will see how they withstand the test of time (if they last a year, I'm happy). I'd note that they're not that big though. Enough for two servings, but not really much more. Fine if you're a student like myself, but still something to be aware of.
Bottle opener was a bit off centre and didn't look like it worked right. Wasn't too bothered as I don't have much use for it.
Can Opener was also loose. Haven't checked to see if it functions right
The two trays are fine; wouldn't bend them too much, but they do the job.

I think the only difference between this one, and the one for £25 in tesco is that the £25 excludes the cutlery but includes a cheese grater and a few plastic containers.

I thought students just lived on pot noodles or tins of beans?

Or all they all wannabe chefs now after watching all the celebrity chefs on TV?
