How is the speed when switching channels?

How is the speed when switching channels?

I have no experience with this one. But I can say that we had 3 expensive digital boxes, where changing channels was really slow. So we use a cheap and cheerful one (15 pounds, I think), which only takes about half a second.

With gadgets, you often don't get what you pay for.

This looks the same as the 'own brand' one from Comet.

Bought one the other day and I'm impressed. Fast channel changing and holds on to an average signal level very well.

Mine cost £18 but still well worth it.

has anyone actually tried this one? i am looking for one too...

My girlfriend got this when it was £18.

Its fine, nothing wrong at all, fast for changing channels and the EPG is good. Well worth £10.

I bought 2 yesterday (1 for each of my kid's rooms!) and one today for my FIL, they work fine and are excellent for only £10 :) They obviously don't come with a SCART lead for £10, but we got some from Asda for only £2 if it helps anyone :)

That's not the case. Standard definition freeview channels will continue to be broadcast in 2011 and beyond. But if you want to receive the 3 or 4 high definition channels, in addition to standard definition channels, you'll need to upgrade.

Wow that's awful to read!

Awfully bad misinformation..... absolute nonsense.[/SIZE]

Freeview HD will only be receivable on an HD Freeview receiver but this and every other existing Freeview box / Freeview TV will contnue to receive all the standard definition channels just fine and there are only limited or no Freeview HD channels in some areas.
