Argos Value Range Wireless Optical Mouse. Glossy red. £4.99

Distance RunnerDistance Runner

Just bought one of these on a reserve and collect from the Bury branch of Argos. So no P&P.

I know that there are other computer mice for sale elsewhere which are cheaper but I am very impressed at the quality and good looks of this red glossy wireless optical mouse.

Don't be put off by the 'Value Range' in the title. I think it is a very nice piece of kit. I particularly like the USB connector which is the size of a small finger nail. You'll hardly notice it in the side of your PC or laptop..

I doubt that includes delivery.. and with argos if it goes wrong you can throw it back into their store!

But they aren't 99p? Those sellers sneakily put a USB to PS2 adapter in the drop down box for 99p so people click the link thinking the mouse is that cheap...

It's very good for the price and specially for right handed folks. I'm not so a bit annoying

Oh and don't go dropping the mouse on the floor the battery cover is very flimsy as I found out in the first week and now I have to keep the USB in my laptop as I have taped the cover.

It says that it takes 1.5 AA battery which seems to suggest that it isn't compatible with rechargeables. Can anyone comment? Other than that it looks good if the reviews are to be believed

I'm sold. I would like to know the range though. Need one for sitting on the sofa

I don't see how this is hot?

Tesco, Asda and I'm sure most of the other shops all have their own branded mice for around £5 and they are all absolutely terrible.

Don't waste your money. I bought one of these 6 weeks back & it would not work on most surfaces that all other mice I've owned worked on. It was terrible & non responsive. I took it back. The worst mouse I have ever had.

It will be compatible with rechargeables. That is just a generic description. The 1.5V decays as the battery discharges or is put under load much more than the 1.2V of a rechargeable.

I've bought 2 value range ones from Argos before (£6.99) ... one for work and one for home. No problems with either over a few years now. Came with Duracell batteries and I'm now using rechargeable batteries in them. Not sure why you'd think rechargeables would not work.

I would be genuinely grateful if you could post a link. All I can find is this type of listing that suggest a 99p price but charge a fiver when you select any of the mice: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230801058040
