When you return something you always have to return any items that came with it. that includes fre items and vouchers.

My last voucher was printed on the receipt so you would need to have that to return the item, then lose the voucher!

Many of the deals you find on here you'd think they would have thought about it but evidently not. I.e. Tesco tomatoes deal the other week.

Thou having said this. If your receipet had your personal information on that. Would that not be in breach of data communications act? um.
Soubt they could keep such a thing, else you could open a liable case.

They always seem to put this offer on a few days after I have bought loads of stuff from them.

Do you mean if they wanted to keep it? They would probs let you have it back but say void in some way? You are right , you wouldn't hand back the receipt to claim the voucher if you were keeping the item as this is your original proof of purchase. They may just tear it off if you were returning tho?

Why else would you give your reciept back?
So in a nut shell YES

What happens if you use the voucher before you return the original item for a refund?

does that void the return?

hmmmm

If I buy something for £120 say using a £100 voucher and £20 cash do i still get the £10 voucher? and if so can i use that in the original purchase?
Asking a lot but hey ho, dont ask you dont get
#12
JNY you're WRONG! If you haven't reached the £100 threshold, you can't do the charity thing anymore, you have to make it up by something like batteries or the cheap stuff dotted around the tills. You have to spend £100 to get the voucher.

If you return the item, you have to return the voucher. If you don't return the voucher, Argos will take the voucher off the total price of your item.

These are the rules to getting the voucher.

They tend to do them over bank holidays which explains why they seem to have been around a lot recently but chances are it won't be back again until August and then maybe not until Christmas.
#17
I know I should've waited before buying that Toshiba Blu-Ray player.
#18
Do they still give you the voucher when you buy vouchers? Buy £50 gift voucher, get £50 voucher plus £5 voucher - then buy £55 goods with vouchers and get a £5 voucher back. Net return is £55 of goods for £45.
It worked Christmas before last... and it came from a post here.

Yes, I am Scottish. How did you guess?:whistling:

While we are on the subject of argos, i bought a game from there as a present, and after it was opened my cousin realised they already had it and they hand it back to me, can i take it back with the receipt even though its been opened?

( In other words i dont like it )

That would be a no. They haven't done that for over a year now. Nice try though!

The game thing is a no too, if you take it out the packaging, you cant bring it back.

HAYLEYSAUL you STAND CORRECTED!!! You can do the charity donation, i was with a mate today who used the donation to get him over the threshold. cheers:)
#25
so if i spend £240 will i get 2x£10 vouchers or just 1??
or is it best to get £100 in gift vouchers then again for £220 spending
#26
Hey,

I work for Argos and the only point we allow the customers to keep the voucher is when the product is faulty and the company is at fault, if you return the product under the 30 day policy the voucher is voided or deducted from the refund amount.

As for the charity donation, this isnt allowed anymore to make up the £50 or £100, we will have to sell something like batteries etc.

Was this site set up to promote fraud??; you obviously have never been involved in running a business

Same here! But can't really complain as I got £20 off argos vouher and a couple of other freebies when I purchased the Ipod touch 3G. That reminds me, must see if one of freebie items is back as it was out of stock .. Mgr said he'd still honour the freebie offer when item back in store.

JNY i work for the company too, thats why i know so your "friend" is either lying or went to an store that need some proper training. Thats the store policy.

Thats why i know allll about these deals. Which store did your friend go to then?
#33
i too work for argos as a team leader and if someone spends £49.99 and tick the box at the bottom of the slip they put the total over £50 thus getting a voucher if you was to cancel the voucher that would be bad customer service. because as we all know when the customer comes back with the voucher they tend to spend more than £5 thats why the offer is on!
#34
it says on until 1st june, does that include the 1st?
