only if you buy each £100 as individual purchases, it's £10 if you spend over £100, not £10 per £100 spent

Anyone know if I'll be sent a voucher since it won't come till after the offer starts?

Argos staff are SCUM! Especially those located at the Small Heath store in Birmingham. Absoloute scum!! Rude and arrogant - think their family own the store....

Not all are. I work there as a customer services team leader & personally think I do a brilliant job. I constantly have good feedback from customers about my store and I'm proud to work there. Your comment is obviously towards a certain store so you should take it up with them, as a company we value customer feedback and customer services is the main Argos vision at the moment.

I agree with you as i also work for argos and have countless praises from customers, its generally the customers who cant get there own way because they cant be arsed to keep a reciept that will put stupid comments like that.

Also i must say that yes it is only up to £10 gift card per transaction so just split the items up if possible to make the most of it, also i cant stress enough that this offer does not apply when buying gift cards.

If I spend £300 will I get a £30 in vouchers?

Nope, if you spend £300 in one go you only get £10 in vouchers.

It seems like only a few days ago I was getting Argos emails to tell me to hurry up and buy before the last voucher offer ended? Good to know its on, heat added

you won't get one as the offer wasn't on when you ordered.
try cancelling the order and re ordering to get voucher.

Are you sure about that? I thought it depends when you receive your order. What if the price has changed since Sunday too? Is it different T&Cs when ordering Home Delivery?

I reserved something yesterday and will be collecting tomorrow will i get the voucher?

Also it cost £49.99 whats the cheapest thing in Argos to buy as a filler to make up the extra 1 pence? :?

Although this appears a good deal - be warned. I spent yesterday looking at a number of Camera's for my daughter for Christmas. Unfortunately I did not have time to purchase one and then found this thread this morning!! So brilliant I thought!!! However, ALL Cameras have mysteriously gone up by £10 overnight!!!! Thanks Argos, Comet here I come!!!!

Argos have weekly deals, and last week was the camera deal, these deals run from tuesday to tuesday each week, as last weeks ended new deals took over alongside the gift card promotion :)
#25
Also I noticed on the last voucher scheme argos ran , you could only redeem the vouchers between a certain time frame , ie the following month ,

As this is until 1st december , does this mean the vouchers will only be valid for the month of Jan 2010 ? when the people are recovering from Xmas spending ?
#26
intersted to see that the Samsung E60 being advertised last week for £69.99 reduced from £199.99 allegedly - is now off sale but showing as a normal price of £79.99 not £199.99!
#27
Can anyone confirm whether you can use more than one voucher in a single transaction? So if I had 3x£10 vouchers, I could get £30 off something?
#28
Voted hot but crafty Argos reduced the camera i wanted by £7 the other day but back to there higher price now so can only save £5 with this deal, shame have to wait for there xmas sale now.

Yes, they're simply gift vouchers.

Protip:

If you are spending over £100 on multiple items, buy them in seperate transactions, and use your voucher as you buy.

For example : camera £105 and memory card £10

Buy the camera then get the voucher, start a new transaction and get the memory card free !

this is a hot deal, but not that hot!

£10 back on £100 is great - but if you are spending any more than say £150, £10 doesn't really count for much does it!!

Hot deal but doesn't deserve to be this hot.

You are buying something for £250 this is what you do;

You buy £100 gift vouchers you get £100 vouchers plus a free £10 voucher for spending £100

Let your wife, partner or friend do the same as above.

Then you buy £50 of vouchers and you get £50 vouchers plus a free £5 voucher for spending £50.

Summary

You now have £250 of vouchers plus £25 free vouchers you now purchase your £250 item and receive another £10 free voucher for spending over £100.

So it works out that you have received £35 in free vouchers this can be done for any large amount just use a different Argos if you are bothered about keep getting them from the same one.
Or just alternate the days when you do it that is up to you. :)

You can't use gift cards to get a free gift card. Is this what you're talking about ?
#35
Yeah that was there last year the year before etc i have never been refused yet and i have done it loads of times.

This means that you can't use gift vouchers to buy more gift vouchers.

that's not what it says, though. In saying that, Abacus's point clears it up, and it does appear to work.

Probably didn't explain myself very well. Sorry. What Abacus did does work (we've done it ourselves).
What you can't do is buy £100 of gift vouchers with the £100 of gift vouchers that you've already bought, otherwise you could just keep racking up the extra £10 free vouchers indefinitely (which would be sweeeeeeet). Still doesn't look right written down but I hope you follow what I mean.

I don't agree. I think you have missed out on £50 of free vouchers as you could have bought 5 x £100 vouchers and received a free £10 voucher each time. You would then pay for the TV with £500 in vouchers ....leaving you with £50 in vouchers BUT still not the end of the world!

i placed a order on line as well 'heavy item' thats not coming till thursday, i had buy
some more things today cost over £50 and i asked the girl if i would recive a vouher with the order i placed the other day, but is not coming till Thursday, she said no, because order is placed after the voucher deal started, and she had done the same the last time it came out herself and they wouldnt give her the voucher and she works there :-)
