Ariel + Fairy Glitch at Sainsburys

Ok bear with me, when you spend £10 on Ariel, Fairy and a few other items at Sainsburys they give you 2x £2.50 off vouchers , 1 for Ariel and 1 for Fairy detergent

So today i bought 1xAriel Gel and 1x Fairy Gel and 1xFairy Conditioner for £10 which was all on offer at half price , this then gave me 2x £2.50 vouchers

I then went back and bought the same again and used the vouchers so it cost £5 and i then got a further 2x£2.50 vouchers

Also if you choose the Timmy packs of Fairy you can claim free Timmy Time books !

So did this 4 times, hope thats clear ?

Well spotted, good deal!

Just one question, if the stuff is on offer for half price then surely you are not technically spending £10? and therefore not qualifying for the 2x £2.50 vouchers?

Yes you are spending £10, the Ariel + Fairy gel is usually £8 each its on offer at £4, the Fairy conditioner is normally £4 its now £2 so that's makes up the £10 to get the 2 vouchers

Been on MSE for a few weeks. Not much use to us as only use non-Bio so the Ariel not of any use - bought the Persil 2x42 wash for £6 at Tesco but that's long gone now.

Are you not allowed to buy the same item twice? So you couldn't buy the Fairy wash twice plus one conditioner? Is it only specific items which excludes Ariel non bio? Just wondering as I'd take advantage of the offer if possible, but we also can only use non-bio stuff.

The Fairy non bio gel is included in the offer! :)

Does it have to be the fairy gel? I've only used the powder before. Is it any good?

85 wash surf at asda for £5
#14
can you buy 2 ariel and 1 conditioner
#15
So you spent £25 in total and got £80 worth (at full retail) or £40 worth at current prices? Is that right?
#16
How many washes are these bottles?
EDIT> Oh I see, 26 or 28....

The original price is the now common and hideous supermarket offer lie.
The first purchase to get the vouchers is the normal price.
Thereafter, it becomes a hot deal, so this is good if you want to stock up with 15 or more bottles of laundry liquids.

The vouchers are specific so you have to buy different products. I only wanted non bio so didn't float my boat. Only one of each voucher per txn as well.

So you spent £25 in total and got £80 worth (at full retail) or £40 worth at current prices? Is that right?

First spend is £10 for £20 worth of items as they are half price
1x Fairy Gel £4 (normally £8 )
1x Ariel Gel £4 (normally £8 )
1xFairy Conditioner £2 (normally £4)

This then gives you 1x£2.50 voucher for Ariel + 1x£2.50 voucher for Fairy

So buy the same again and give them the 2 vouchers so it then cost £5 for £20 worth of items and you get 2 more voucher's, keep repeating

This worked fine with me...thanks!!! Just wondering if anyone had tried buying another product (mentioned on the voucher) instead of the conditioner .ie Head and Shoulders is on mentioned on the voucher and is half priced too (I think it's £2.30)?
#22
Great - thanks. Got 2 lots already and will probably try for the shampoo at the weekend.

Thank you, voted hot!
As I was doing shopping on a separate bill for my mum, I told the woman on the till I would be using the detergent coupons on the next lot of shopping, she said nothing, but when I said it again once she gave them to me -she said I couldnt do that and I had to leave the shop and come back in.
I went to customer service and they put it through for me, what difference does it make honestly!
The first spend of mine was £120 and my mums £25 so I was a genuine customer :(((
