There r Not many Poor Farmers in this country m8...

Good Price for MILK here, Milk is what it is at the end of the day and goes in ma T & Coffee & Cereal.. SO, the cheaper the better i say!!
#6
Loss leader for the supermarket I suspect, they will still be paying the farmer similar money.
#7
wow HOT

reminds me of the supermarket baked bean war in the 90's

that one got so low that some were giving away a limited number of free cans with each shop (aldi i think)
#8
It is cheap because they took the fat and the taste out of it!

You drop it in your coffee and the colour does not even change.. remains black!

tastes as good as semi to me, try as i might, aside from in tea i could not make the transition to fully skimmed (0.1%) but to me this has all the taste of semi but only half the fat.

Its more than likely imported milk, no red tractor logo on the bottle.

Trouble is with milk nowadays cattle get treated like chickens and couped up all day in sheds :(

Milk tates nice tho we got some in the fridge, can it be frozen ?

Nobody imports fresh milk! Could you imagine the logistics of it, its distributed in road tankers. Its not like they have a milk pipeline to Europe.

Unsupported assumption presented as fact. Hope you're not a doctor or scientist or something important!

Tastes fine on cereal and my tea is fine.

You must be watering yours down or something
#20
Wow! they will be paying us to take it soon!!
#21
4 pints of 1% milk - isn't it just the same as buying 1 pint of real 4% milk and diluting it with 3 pints of water? --- because that's what it tastes like :p

I work for a milk processing dairy. We have a milk surplus which is being turned into skimmed milk powder or cheese, some of which we export. Why would we as an industry import?

All major milk producer/processors have their own network of dairy farmers tied in. Perhaps a small independent cheesemaker may import, but not fresh milk.

someone read the daily mail today then
