not sure if this has been posted before - but I have just bought 4 tubes of Arm and Hammer Advanced Whitening toothpaste in Poundland.

The front of the box is all in English, but judging from the back these tubes were intented to be exported to Saudi or The UAE!

£2.49 for exactly the same in Superdrug...so seemed a bargain to me...

I honestly think that those reviews were written by their own marketing staff. It tastes weird, paste itself is solid like brick. On the funny side, as the name suggests, you definitely need a strong arm (men) or a hammer (ladies) to squeeze it on to the brush. ;-)

Good find, I've used this brand for a couple of years and been satisfied. On my way to grab a fistful at local poundland (I hope).

Not sure what you've been using (or where you've been storing it):?. I find it great, been using it for years and if anything it tends to be a bit more liquid than most toothpastes.

hi. been using this toothpaste for a while. one word of warning is that if you have sensitive gums or would like them to start bleeding or hurting then this toothpaste does the job. you have been warned!
#9
Taste vile, had to use normal freshmint toothpaste after using this to get rid of the taste.

So is it any better than aquafresh/colgate at whitening?

If it's that bad , why have you used it for a while?

It contains bicarbonate of soda. That is why it tastes 'weird'. You don't even notice the taste after a while.

Nonsense, I use A&R sensitive and it doesn't make my gums bleed. Perhaps because I don't scrub rather than brush my teeth. Bicarbonate of soda is a mild abrasive, you need to go easy with the brush.

Been in Poundland for ages and you can save a penny by going to a 99p Store instead. All of the boxes seem to be imports from the Gulf.

Bought a tube of Arm & Hammer a while ago and never again, it leaves a horrible taste in the mouth as others have said.
#15
Good price for those that like it...I personally can't stand the stuff, its like brushing your teeth with chalk or something to the contray (and no for the clever clogs amongst us i haven't tried brushing my teeth with chalk)
#16
They've had this stuff in for a while now, so I normally get some if I'm in there as it's more than double price elsewhere. It doesn't taste great but it does work. If you brush 2/3 times a day with it you will see the difference a mile off even if you previously used whitening toothpaste. I think this is the best one out there.

Thanks for post I'll try it. Can't say I'm all that bothered what my toothpaste tastes like as long as it does the job.
#18
Good find, thank you.

[COLOR=Magenta]I've tried the sensitive one and have to say it taste horrid....boyfriend refuses to use it quote "rather brush my teeth with a dirty loo brush" :o

.....as for value for money, I think it's great if you can bear the taste :|

I agree with a previous statement - you need a bloody strong arm to get this stuff out of the tube
