Will this do for a 7 year old i.e. not a teen but under 18?

Yes, anyone under 18.

Note that they cannot be used during school hours. They can only be used after 6pm, weekends and holidays.

In that case that's a rubbish deal !

Yup, my daughter travelled 30 miles yesterday for £2. Would have cost her a lot more for a day ticket.

Want a free meal at McDonald's restaurant?
Go through the McDonalds drive-thru and do NOT order. Go up to the first drive-thru window and tell the cashier that you didn't order, that you changed your mind and are just trying to make your way through the line. For the most part, they'll fall for it.
Okay, so you made it past the first window. Now you must wait for the person behind you to order. When you make it to the second window, hopefully the meals for the person behind you will be ready. Then you just act like that person, grab the food and go before someone jots down your number plate. Best during busy times, so as not to get caught because of the already confused employees. They'll never know what hit 'em!

Free food never tasted so good. :D

Free criminal record all for the sake of a manky burger and fries!

Great deal that one,
shez786
i don't what crap they put in their so called food but when ever i use to go i would have a 80% chance of getting a severe headache or diarreah, stopped going years ago. what also use to annoy me was how they jam in so much ice in their fizzy drinks when you have not asked for it, as if their drinks were not watered down enough already lol

Probably due to a member of staff not washing their hands properly
I think these deals have been on the back of parking/bus/coach tickets around the country for years, especially South London and Kent. Has nobody ever noticed before?!?!

Cartakeback collected my Nissan Micra which was beyond repair and only good for scrap.
£140 in my pocket. Not bad for a small car that was 17 years old with over 110k on the clock and knackered.
mocmocamoc
What will a scrapyard give for a car generally?

Varies a lot, and depends on the car. I once scrapped a Citroen AX, which is mostly plastic, and the guy who hauled it away was not happy. I think a big saloon can get above £200. It has fallen back a bit recently. Do ring around, I got different prices from different scrapyards last time, and you should get more if you can take the car in rather than have them collect it.

Useless for those over 60 (who have a free pass anyway). I have a scrap car, but am waiting for a better price.
I take it this deal would really only be beneficial for people who's cars really are ready for the knackers yard?
I mean why would I trade in my £3.5k BMW for £235 of tickets....?

Not voted either way as I'm sure it could be a good deal for people in the situation I've described.....

Agreed, but in my area Arriva are the only bus service we have, we are six miles from "civilisation". The fares are extortionate, without a Teen card my kids wouldn't be able to get out and about anywhere.

its the same here. arriva are the only ones in redcar so you just have to lump it. prices to up to cover wage increases (drivers have gone on strike several times & think they are on £8/hr now!) & fuel increases but wont drop prices when the fuel went down  plus all the buses are knackered and are cast offs from northumberia/newcastle.

well i'm gonna be trying a far more reliable & cheaper service on friday....... bicycle! a straight 5 mile path all the way to work and will save atleast £700 a year while gtting fit! :whistling:

arriva in the north east are a joke!

http://forums.gazettelive.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=28

i only take 10x20min bus journeys a weak but in the last week have had 2 buses not turn up, 3 buses break down (1 of which was a replacement for 1 that didnt turn up, which had broke down also!) 4 buses that were late & 3 that went early! (this is early morning buses which constantly go atleast 5mins early!)

if you complain you get replies from arriva from all over the country! EXCEPT arriva north east! aparently they are a bit inundated with complaints! LOL just got a letter this morning from arriva liverpool saying that they are sorry and that my complaint has been passed to the concerning manager who will reply within about 10 days........ which then means the end of it as you get NO reply from arriva north east! :(

Eh this was from 2009
Does Liverpool come under the scheme if it does' could you provide me with the link to purchase or find out more info thank you
The monthly cost depends on your region and seems to vary up and down the uk.
But the local bus here is usually £12.50 p/week approx £50 per month.
So it's quite a saving buying the monthly pass online at £33.75.
Price also includes FREE p&p.
(Weekly tickets are due to go up in feb, so may be worth having a look)!
Link does work, try this one http://www.arrivabus.co.uk/multi-journey-saver-tickets/

It was just local but they have made it nationwide now.
I did see it from the over 60's point of view as my post explained.
My Dad is 68 and not impressed...however my Mum is actually wishing away the next 2 years of her life so she can get one! If she was on here she would vote it steaming hot!

Maybe they can do one for Europe in future :-D that would have saved me £2,500
lumoruk;1787998
Okay excluding the point of being disabled (I agree with what you've said) but see it from an over 60's point of view. Though I thought this was the case anyway or was it just local buses?

I thought this was more of a info type post rather than a deal, wasn't sure were to post, but like a lot of others,i thought this was already available, apparantly not,as you see,so this should be seen as info.....as i never mentioned this was any kind of deal.
If anyone has took offence to this,I can only apoligise,

You've not caused offence to me, but I view it the same as my blue badge and nhs equipment.
I just didn't see it as a deal.
It is posted in the deals section, therefore it will be seen as posted as a deal.
Maybe it would have been one for the Misc section?
It is good info for thse eligible as I doubt the Government will advertise it much so it is good that you posted it.
I'm not sure about the availability either as I got mine a couple weeks ago and am allowed to use it now.

Just thought, the freebie section might be a good place to move it?
