As much as I love Sheffield Utd, no-one wants to see an easy match like this

We'll win 3-0

Oh yes, lets hope the kids do a decent cup run this year

Interesting to see if Arsenal try to cheat like they did last time they played Sheffield United in the cup ;o)

thats a bit harsh

even though i dont support Arsenal you got to give their youngsters credit that they do play some quality football - look at denilson he played in these same CC games and now is looking to become a very good midfielder
#6
Denilson? Is that not the same wee thug who cut a spurs player in half in last year's cup?

All Sheffield United seem to do is accuse people of cheating, more like sour grapes to me...

Not harsh at all, it's the truth. All the big clubs do this, to give their other players some match time. I'm not saying they're no good, just that they're not good enough for the 1st team.

Obviously Cesc Fabregas wasn't good enough a few season ago when he played in this sort of fixture !?!

Surely you shouldn't judge a football player on one tackle. is Zidane only judged on one headbutt............oh yeah he is.......sorry my bad!!!!!!!!

agreed most top flight teams do that but then supporters of those teams would argue that they would rather see there team winning the league and FA Cup then the Carling Cup, so IMO the Carling Cup is an excellent place for youngsters to learn their football before they are exposed to the pressure of a domestic season. Also there is nothing wrong in using your complete squad throughout a season surely that is the point of having a squad? How the manager of a certain club chooses to utilise his players is his perogative isnt it?
#13
is it easy to get there from London waterloo?
#14
About 15-20 minutes to Highbury & Islington from Waterloo. Northern Line to Euston, then Victoria line. Probably 10 minutes walk from there
#15
i would pay a fiver or ten quid to go to the emirates, and see some young talent, heat added
#16
I've never been able to understand this... why is the lower tier cheaper than the upper tier at the Emirates?

You will recall that out of sportsmanship, Arsenal chose to replay the match....

I don't remember Arsenal cheating last season in the cup win at Bramall Lane
#21
It's worth a tenner to see the Emirates., dunno about Asenole though.

Obviously not enough fans have drifted back from supporting Man Utd yet.
#22
I've assigned all seats to my membership number... is that correct???
#23
As a Newcastle fan - have to applaud Arsenal for lowering their prices while we have to pay £20 to watch Newcastle in the competition.
#24
When I got the tickets, I had to sign up first and get a membership number (all via email), then login with those details and purchase tickets (not the same as being an actual member of Arsenal where you get priority tickets, these tickets anyone can sign up and get)...went last year to watch Newcastle in the Carling cup, yes im biased but I took along a spurs and liverpool fan, and they loved it just for the stadium itself...seriously its worth going if you can regardless of who you support to see the stadium at least
#25
REP and HEAT added! thanks OP just bought mine :)
#26
I already knew about the tickets, has to be worth a tenner ?

bring back the old Arsenal logo though !
#27
a tenner to see the stadium is a good deal already

I agree !, thats what I was implying
#29
Well, considering child tickets are from £5 well worth taking the kids along to see a top flight ground for a fraction of the normal price.
#30
Good Luck Arsenal!!

:whistling:
#31
Dont forget there is a booking fee. For 2 adults and an OAP the fee was £6.30 and postage was £2.20

Still worth it as OAP's are £5
#32
Does anybody know the maximum age for a 'Junior Gunner'? And does a Junior Gunner have to have Arsenal membership or is it just a fancy word for under 18?

Thanxxx
#33
Awesome Deal although Arsenal do it every season with one game for £10. I went last year as it was the same game but against Newcastle. Would go again but still in Spain :(

Expect Jack Wilshere to shine on the night.
#34
Hot hot hot - just got me 2 tickets :-)
#35
i went to this last year
got 2 tickets for arsenal v newcastle
with booking fee's, priced worked out at 12.50 per ticket
well worth it to see a game at the emirates
#36

If you are taking the kids, beware of the man with a packet of sweets and a cheeky smile...

Mate, Martin Jol's in germany now...panic over people!

Im thinking of taking my son to his first match but i only managed to find seats 2 chairs apart. Do you think people would mind swapping. I also bought a row 1 seat for some strange reason...hmmm.
