I think you can enjoy any beer all year round.
#2
Maybe so, but this is the only beer for all seasons.

So I see. I've just chucked out a box of Peroni. What else could I do - it's nearly winter!

Rats - is that why I've been a wee bit unwell having drank my bodyweight in Guinness of late?

Oh well.....

PS - Asahi is a dreadful lager, as I'm afraid are most from this part of the world.......

But it's brewed from only the finest ingredients! It's also, imo, a nice drink. ;)

Is it brewed in EU?
#7
No, on the Japanese island Faversham.
#8
Already grabbed 60 of these in the last couple of weeks - ends 28/11. Spot on lager - heat added.
#9
Great lager. Cheers!

No, on the Japanese island Faversham.

WRONG

This is brewed in the UK under licence - has never see a Japanese sunrise in its life.

You can tell when you're getting genuinely imported stuff as it will usually only be found in Japanese restaurants and be at least 4 times pricier than this.

I have been tempted before only to be let down. If you doubt, please read the label in the supermarket.

It winds me up that you pay a premium for this in Japanese restaurants and it's brewed in Norfolk or somewhere. Asahi can kiss my asahi, either import it or just don't rip me off! You can literally not get this imported anywhere it's all from the UK, none of the Japanese resteraunts in Manchester have ever had an import version anyway.

Voted Hot though because it's cheap and nice lol.

Besides Sapporo is where it's at.

100% agree, although its best not to get the imported stuff, see if you can get the real stuff from japan, it tastes slightly different. Also try black asahi it taste simular to guiness but not as creamy.

Nice beer this is a good price. Sapporo is really nice as well but very hard to get hold they dont have it at the cash and carrys or wholesale outlets I have access to :(
#18
You could kill someone with a Sopporo can.
#19
I like this stuff - I've never seen it cheaper than a quid.

The can of Sapporo shown - is that the one that instead of a ring pull, you rip the entire lid off so that it becomes effectively a beaker? Donkey years since I've even seen one.

It's been that long since I have found it i've forgotten. I think you drink out of it like a normal can but it does have a special ring pull. I remember them being heavy and made out of some kind of thick steel.

Wish I lived near a Morrison's

According to mister.c the deal expired on 28/11.

Cheaper than I can get it from Shepherd Neame shop in Faversham- hot!

GoodBeer.. Especially when you see all the horrid lagers that surround it at the supermarche. Blergh

This is decent beer. I bought it in australia and it was in a 1 litre can! Deffinetly worth the price imo

Indeed it did - around 1 and a half quid per bottle in Moggies when I've checked it out on a couple of December occasions.

Remarkably I've still got my own stocks around the 30 level so its going to be a Merry Christmas day for me! Enjoy
