sounds a good idea, may be able to take a kettle to avoid excessive motorway service's drinks prices. Whatever happened to those little plug in water heaters, not seen those around for years. Sometimes a flask isn't enough.

Seems a really good price.

80W won't drive a kettle. Mainly usefull for chargers and the like.

Reminds me of an old Nescafe ad with a woman leaning next to her VW Beetle on the edge of a cliff with the song 'Lovely Day' playing in the background.

I got one of these when it was first posted a couple of weeks ago.
Some things to look out for: the 80 Watt figure is the input (12V at 6.67A) maximum power to the inverter, not the maximum load it can drive. It''ll run a 60Watt bulb OK though.
Also, don't leave this plugged in (e.g. to your car) when not in use. Even with nothing plugged in to it, it drains about 0.3A from your battery.

Yeah, I liked that ad, it was clever, she cheered up, had a smile. Didn't buy nescafe after, but it was a sweet ad. Thanks for the reminder!!!

There's a version of the ad here - hope you enjoy foxy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsqyfW-l-50&feature=related

Thinking this may not be able to support a kettle though. Totally blonde when it comes to electricity etc
