Not sure why this is cold? If your car burns a lot of oil and you need to top it up every few weeks this is a good deal, usually costs about £10 for 1l!

Put the asda fully synth 5w40 in my skoda vag 1.9 vrs, £13 for 5 litres barging! Meets vw 505.01 specs so all good

oil snobs? Oil is oil, as long as it's fully synthetic and the correct viscosity. Good price.

I would however be very worried if your having to top your oil up every week.... oO

I used to think the same until I owned a diesel with a DPF where it's critical to use the correct spec (not just viscosity). For older engines, I'd agree... it doesn't even matter too much what the viscosity is as long as the stuff is changed regularly, along with the filter.
