Picked up an AA 2009 one from Home Bargains today for 49p. As a bonus, the chance to enter the competition to win a Renault has just expired....

Something that has always puzzled me about sat navs and warnings of cameras.. I can understand the speed camera warnings but why would you want a warning of a red light camera? :?

anyway £1 for this gets some heat from me, nice find

The AA's got to do something to keep their recovery business running :D

unfortunately, speed cameras have had to be introduced because there are people on the road who believe that the laws of physics do not apply to them.
its just not funny to endanger other peoples lives. i think its irresponsible for anyone to publish speed camera sites, its encouraging that dumb schoolboy mentality, and as for the people who actually buy them, surely they need their heads tested.

Maps seems cheap - thumbs up from me (assume they are fairly accurate)

I think you have a good point about people going too fast, but warning people of them is no bad thing. You have extra awareness of what's ahead. Many will slow because of fear of getting caught, but then the system has done it's job. Prevention is better than cure - whatever it is - if it slows you down before it gets to a spot that better than catching someone after they've speeded. Let's say somedrives too fast, camera catches them, but at that point they're going so fast that they have an accident. It's too late - the accident has happened. If you slow people down before hand, you've done the job. I actually don't mind those things in the road that make a noise/horrid rumble when you go over them too fast. What i object to is the situation is a few miles over and has points on their license. This also leads to looking back and forth at the speedometer. I'd rather put up with the irritation of bumps, lights etc slowing me down before i get to a blackspot etc than one day being slightly over (i'm talking doing doing 53 when it's 50).

I wish someone would make a camera for tailgaters though. Irritates the hell out of me - especially the idiots on motorways going at high speeds and leaving very little room with the cars in front.

what a silly idea - speed cameras in a book which is FOR 2010 LOL my speed cameras in satnav changes every 2 weeks so this is just dumb.

heat added for a good deal though

Good deal...will get one next week.....slightly off topic, it isnt speed that is the prime cause of accidents,(despite Treasury propaganda) its bad driving , cameras cant do owt about that. Drunken drivers cause accidents, cameras cant do owt about that. Poorly maintained vehicles cause accidents but cameras cant do owt about that.........speed cameras are one trick, revenue raisers....what is needed are more Trafiic Police on our roads 24/7 like there used to be, but they cost money and tend to caution motorists for doing 33 in a 30 limit at 3am :whistling:
