Spotted these in Wigan; loads of them. Will be this price in other stores too according to staff.

Offers both comfort and warmth. The ridge hood can be drawn around the head for additional warmth whilst the zip baffle helps to prevent draughts. The sleeping bag comes with a compression sack.
Weight 1.0kg
Comfort Limit 20c
Size 180 x 75cm
Filling 100% Hollo Fibre

seems a good price for a hooded bag, but wouldnt get myself as the lining looks like the material that goes right through me! LOL

you just need to make sure it'll keep it warm enough for what you want. i got the cheapo £4 bag from go outdoors all because the good makes were to warm for me!

What does comfort level 20c mean? Is that the highest or lowest temp?!?!?!

With a proper sleeping bag the comfort limit is the lowest temperature at which an average male will sleep comfortably in clothing appropriate to that weather. So a -33 degree bag assumes you're wearing thick thermals & socks etc.

As for ASDA rating it... god knows what they mean.

I'll admit it's a steal for a sleeping bag to use indoors at your mates house.
However i dont think it'll do for me. Need a -25 to -35. Sadly that wont be £5. lol.

I think it is the coldest comfortable temp.

A house sleep over bag at most use I suspect.

In Europe, the EN 13537 standard normalizes the temperatures at which a sleeping bag can be used. A test, relying on a heated mannequin, provides four temperatures:

the upper limit is the highest temperature at which a 'standard' adult man is able to have a comfortable night's sleep without excess sweating.
the comfort rating is based on a 'standard' adult woman having a comfortable night's sleep.
the lower limit is based on the lowest temperature at which a 'standard' adult man is deemed to be able to have a comfortable night's sleep.
the extreme rating is a survival only rating for a 'standard' adult woman. This is an extreme survival rating only and it is not advisable to rely on this rating for general use.
The transition zone, in between the comfort and lower temperature, is usually considered as the best purchase guideline.

All bags a waste of time unless you get a good camping mat under them NOT an airbed!!
