I know there's been a lot of deals like this before, but I've been looking for this recently! Saw empty space on the shelf last week discounted (thought it was end of line reduction), but went in today and there it was (shelf completely filled - new stock)!

£20.00 each, reduced from £40+

Bought one of these about a year ago for £18-20 from Sainsburys great piece of kit.

FYI you can get cheap replacement heads through amazon

Looks good. £22.49 at Amazon and Argos - so Asda seems to be about the cheapest around at the moment. I bought this brush for just over £20 last year and I'm very pleased with it. Only one setting, but the previous one I had cost 3 times as much, 'cos it had 4 or 5 settings and only ever used the one setting anyway. Heat added.

Bought the 2000 series last christmas from Amazon for £23. I will probably be the same again this year.

However, I'm done with Braun. I buy a new one every year hoping that we'll see improved battery life. However, they're always the same. They last for a week inititally and then after a year it's only 3-4 days. I've switched to a Philips and that lasts 3 weeks!!!

Hmmm.....depends on how many people are using it and how long you brush for. I bought one nearly four years ago now. With two people using it twice a day for two minutes each, it started off lasting 7 days between charges. Now four years later, it lasts 6 days between charges.

Having said that, I think it is a bit pot-luck with these things, the one I had before this one (also Braun, but an older model) lasted 15 months and then packed up completely (only had 12 month guarantee). But very pleased with the one I've got now.

Philips are very good, but the replacement brush heads are an out-and-out rip off and I will not buy them for that reason. Similar to Lexmark printers - cheap to buy, but obscenely expensive consumables (unless you buy 'compatibles').
