just been in local Asda (Coventry) and noticed the Organic bacon is cheaper than the normal stuff. (2.38 i think)

comes in both smoked and unsmoked back bacon. 250g / average 8 slices.

great if you prefer organic anyway, and just cheaper if you dont.....

Not saying that... just saying if u shop @ Sainsbury's then u can get an equivalent product. I find the best thing to do is to get some shopping @ Sainsbury's, some @ Tesco & some @ Asda (But then i'm lucky they are all local).

And has just as much white gunk coming out of it when you cook it as the cheap stuff. Yes, I got conned as well. Whatever organic means in this context I don't know but it's still **** bacon.

Just cos it's organic doesn't mean ur not gonna get the gunk, always go for the leanest looking bacon/least fat... imo. The Sainsburys Taste The Difference stuff £2.19 is lovely...

OP's bacon is wayyyy to fatty, well compared to what I would pick up...

I was recently very surprised to learn that the home cured "real" bacon (like bacon used to be), our local butcher sells is £8something per kilo - I checked ASDA, their "best" (which is nothing like as good), sells for £11something per kilo.
