Asda own brand compact electric juicer £7.98

Branded durabrand, but effectively ASDA's own make

Looked at this after seeing a cheap juicer at argos earlier this week (same price) - but this one seems far more sturdy. Its nice and small, and just made me a mug full (250ml approx) of juice from 2 granny smith apples (would probably have made slightly more if I'd left them to go a bit soft)

You lose two things that you'd expect from a better quality juicer:
1) - the motor isn't quite as powerful, so more expensive juicers may get more juice from your fruit
2) - the pulp doesn't automatically eject

I bought mine from Lancaster/Morecambe instore, doesn't seem to be on the website: I expect they are nationwide.

I'm certainly a happy camper, and someone else out there might be too

Can only find this on site

As good or worse?

The haden one looks bigger (important for me, I'm in student halls and space is at a premium), and I don't like the design as much, but it *does* seem to have a pulp collector... which would make it easier to make vegetable stock or soup out of leftovers... or possibly even jam etc from fruit

Instore, Not really a hot deal as it's always this price, Durabrand/Pacific are like the budget range at ASDA and you get what you pay for, Still you get your years warranty with all electrical at ASDA.

you forgot three other key things.....like most stuff at Asda it will be **** and it wont last or be fit for purpose

my son bought his mother a mother's day mug which came with paints you use to paint on the oustide of the mug.......he painted the mug and left it to dry for 24 hours and then before my wife used it she rinsed it...the paint washed off (wtf!!???)......which plank designed that...waste of time and money....mugged, yes

We had one of these mugs and I'm sure you're meant to bake it after letting the paint dry. Ours has been fine.
