Whats wrong with chip shop curry?
#3
i think what he means is that if your chip shop curry tastes like this call the Eho, as the chip shop has a problem to produce something so bad.
#4

This stuff isn't bad. I'll bet those making jokes have never tried it and are just being snobby. Definitely worth filling your cupboard at this price.

This explains the man I saw this week who had a trolley full of the stuff - and I mean a trolley full. About 40 jars and no other food.

He looked just like he lived on a steady diet of the stuff too....:whistling:

Good find.

I bought this last week & made chicken curry with it, I thought it tasted surprisingly good.
Not sure it would be good on its own (over chips etc)

Yeah.... a loss-leader to get you into the store and so that it gets posted on websites etc...

Its worth a try.

I tried their smart price noodles (8p for various flavours) and it was as good as the 40p packets with brand names !
#18
Asda probably recoup their losses on the curry through toilet roll sales :D
#19
Bought 3 jars just now. And some of them 8p noodles mentioned above. Cheers.

Had one of these last night, chicken, mushroom and onions in with it and some chips.

Thought it was very nice.....even the other half who is snobby about cheap stuff said it tasted better than the Homepride one she normally buys...

Got a Morrisons one to try as well.
