To call this Tea should lead to a prosecution under trades description act.

You need 3 tea bags to get your tea beige!! Cheap, but you get what you pay for. Not voting either way.

The only good cheap teabags are from Sainsburys.

It is not true " you get what you pay for". You get the price the market can stand. This is not always any where near the cost + normal profit. A Merc car only costs 10% more than an equal Ford car to build but the profit margin can be several £1000s more to buy. To get your profit you sell sheds loads at a low profit margin or you sell just a few and increase your margin. To really know what is a good price you need the true cost of production.

UK tea bags.....shocking

Got to be hot on price. Even if you use 3 teabags per cuppa you're still looking at just a penny per brew.
Although I shall not be buying, I'm a Twinings man

This is the normal price for basic tea bags in Netto, Lidl, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury (these are the once I know of, there maybe more). Netto have the best taste IMO, out of the previous mentioned, although I haven't tried Sainburys'.

What is the harm in trying these ASDA Teabags?

We buy the 80 x Sainsbury's Basics Tea Bags for 28p and they are absolutely fine, although they have been nicknamed as "Scumbags".

Having said that we once shopped at Tesco and bought their Economy Tea Bags for a similar price and they were weak and tasted discusting so we ended up chucking them out.

:)
