Yes, I know you can get them cheaper online, but for those that don't like buying online and would prefer to visit a bricks and mortar store then it might be worth taking a look.

They have changed their website since I posted the deal. There was no mention of extra costs for ' Bi-Focal' and 'Vari-focal lenses' when I looked.

They need to spellcheck their new description: "The complete price on adults includes scatch resistant "

My mum got 3 pairs of glasses for £75. Two where normal everyday glasses. And the other pair where reading glasses. She is over 60 though so got free eye test too.
All from the £25 range. They come with the anti scratch thing and a case and cloth. Which is a great price since other shops are very expensive :)

Below quote doesn't say where these were from! I assume SPECSAVERS as they are to the best of my knowledge the only store who does new complete spectacles at £25 a pair (single vision).

What amazes me about the Asda news is that they are now going hell for leather telling people that they are more expensive than Specsavers (except really for very high index specs). I have £25 specs and I'm about to get another pair. They are perfect for what I need which is driving and TV. I could have got two pairs for £75 - £37.50 each pair - and may well in the future. I didn't at first because I hadn't had specs before and wanted to see (literally!) what I'd look like*. Adsa's specs are £50 for the lowest pair so the £25 pair and the two pairs (either for 75 or 85 - with the harder to break arms) are still a better price (£37.50 or £42.50 each).

*I had my eyetest at Specsavers as they are the biggest opticians in the countyr and keep winning most trusted opticians award (don't know name of award exactly)
