What variety are they as that can make a huge difference to taste, Elsanta are usually pretty poor

Just checked mine and they are Elsanta, I've got to say the ones I had were pretty tasty though.

Co-op had some reduced to 89p. co-op strawberries. they even have bugs, i seen a spider and a little fly on ours, you may think yuck, like i did, but then i realised it means they are fresh :)

so maybe worth a look in there, they are nice too :)

Kent Strawberries in Hampshire Asda's yesterday............

Great price and that's what this forum is all about but in late summer when they should have fabulous british varieties they still sell bland tasteless strawberries that need mountains of sugar to improve the taste, so this time of the year is a definite no go IMO.

These Strawberries taste great, well they do from my local ASDA, and don't need any sugar to ruin them, Can't go wrong for the great price and my 2 kids love them too!:thumbsup:

Been that price for while, It's a good price, we have had nice weather so a lot have been grown. They are quite small strawberries though. Still don't need sugar and delicious :-)
